Thanks for the instructions and the video. I was able to successfully replace my levalor-style blind chord.

Great video. Quick question, how did you connect the cord and make it a loop? Did you glue the cord?

Thanks Karl - you inspired me! After watching your video I was emboldened to get into some blinds in our home that haven't worked for 8 years! The cord lock has been broken, and I didn't realize it would be a modular design. I was able to pop it right out of the end in minutes. Bad news is, the part doesn't appear to be available on the fixmyblinds site. Good news is, it doesn't need to be. Upon further inspection I discovered that the cord lock is a two part plastic assembly, and the parts had separated. I only needed to re-glue them. Sweet!

Awesome! I only needed to install cords but now all set for the cords & clutches in case for the future! Thanks Carl! PS magnetize those screwdrivers! 😊

Great video. Awesome catch on the "clutches" being universal and being able to switch ends.

Terrific!

After working it, I like it without a tensioner. Also it will last longer without a tensioner because of the angle the cords go in, in the front. I can hold the cord so there is a lot less friction. So all is good.

My Mom had the same thing (broken loop cord) on her blinds. Good video. I didn't hear you say you actually replaced the broken loop so I assume you did as opposed to trying to tie off the two ends on the broken one.

If those are being used everyday i would think that they would break often? doesn't look very durable.

I just received and installed my continuous cord blind. They sure cheapened the tensioner, it is useless. And the cord is so short there wouldn't be a way to attach it to the wall. I guess they expect people to just have the cord dangle without a tensioner.
