16 year lethal force instructor, retired Govt., and Lenny's videos have ALWAYS had a place in my library. I have $$$ thousands in videos from all schools and organizations including Lenny's and he ALWAYS BRINGS IT! Way to Go! This is a great overview, but do your homework and talk to the Glock Store if you have questions! :-) Locktite 243 is heat and oil resistant and that's what you want to use, and a good boresighter is essential in lining up the sight. I say sight, because the front sight is not adjustable, unless you get one that is. Get it close, but use a boresighter to dial it in. I have a Glock where the sight is visually off to the left, but the gun shoots right on.

Love new gadgets/tools to make things easier. After seeing that multi-tool, literary jump on Amazon and ordered. Also good to know it actually doesn't matter which direction to remove / install the rear Glock sight, been going by what many others have been saying that you must remove direction Left to Right and install Right to Left, was thinking it had to do something with the slide dove tail, but I've measured it with calipers and couldn't tell any difference in size either side. But out of habit, will probably still do it just this way.. lol.

You forgot the crucial step to go shoot the gun and see how you are grouping your shots! My local gunsmith is at a store with a range and before he loctites the rear sight he’ll shoot on a rest 10 shots just to make sure the sights are dead on. Gun manufacturers also do this so I try to get night sights from the factory.

Note that on that front sight, it has the loctite already on it. It is the blue that you see on the threads. Also, blue loctite is removable. Do no use red loctite! It is permanent. You would need to apply heat to remove the screw.

If you need this tool to change a set of sights without damaging them or scratching anything and getting them perfectly centered you shouldn’t be touching a gun with any type of tool at all. Completely unnecessary tool for personal use. Sure looks fancy though.

@chairmanbrando6 ай бұрын
Your local gun store that isn't a hole in the wall likely has an optics section or counter. Take your gun to them and ask them to center it. They'll use some *much* more expensive tools to get it lined up. Depending on what they would charge for a full rear sight install, it may be wise to skip buying your own sight pusher in favor of them doing it right each time. I tried to install some Ameriglos myself via the pounding method and could only get the rear sight in halfway due to the very tight tolerances. My store charged me $5 to finish what I'd started and center it. 🤷♀️

I find most semi auto pistols break down the same way and as far as changing the sights its50/50 on the front its either a screw or dove tail the screw is usually the real flat glock type so one screwdriver will cover everything and there magnetic so it doesn't get lost wgen i teplace the dove tails i all most aleays have to file the new sights to fine tune them.
