Subscribe to Friday Five for my popular weekly newsletter - my tips, my experience, my inspiration, what’s working for me. A high five from me to you: bit.ly/3reTyIm
Have you ever felt held back by a habit or pattern of thinking that you feel powerless to break? Or perhaps felt frustrated by a loved one’s failure to see mistakes they’re repeating? The reason it’s so hard, says today’s guest, is that these actions are programmed into our subconscious minds from early childhood. And they affect not just our behaviour but our whole experience of life and even our risk of disease. The chances are we’re completely unaware of these programs but, importantly, we can change them.

I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.

Wow, you're so young. I'm 3X that. I still feel very young though, even when I wake up feeling like I'm 500 years old on some days. It's all in the mind. If you always wake up with something really worth pursuing, not just pursuing a paycheck, then you will always feel like a 5 year old who can't wait to go outside to play in the new fallen snow.

To be honest I came across this information at 17 and this was before youtube was big etc. I had a strong urge however I am glad I gathered more experience before I took it seriously a decade later. When I was 17 it was intriguing however it didn't stay because of my lack of experience now I don't go a day without programming my subconscious mind the way I want things to go. He is only touching on the tip of the iceberg, there is so much more to this. So don't stop here, keep searching.

This blows my mind. In my 20s, without any knowledge of this, I used to repeat what I wanted as I fell asleep. I had lucid dreams most nights, I manifested health & wealth. Life became complex with marriage & children and I lost this habit. Now in my 50s, I’m going to start this again and hopefully go back to my youthful health and wealth.

00:38 subconscious mind- is programmed, autopilot, and you can't see it as the conscious mind is busy thinking 02:00 you are not playing you, you're playing what you have downloaded! 03:08 brain is a computer: it first needs to have programs for functioning 04:26 theta brain waves is hypnosis 06:09 do I still want this behaviour? Thinking is an insight. 09:23 the good of things that come into life, they do because you have a program to accept them! 09:40 when you're pushing hard to obtain things.... 11:11 in the process of healing, sometimes people revert the path : the program hasn't been addressed! 12:30 conscious mind learn things (self help books) but behaviour doesn't change because the subconscious mind works in the HABITS 14:20 (digression on how genes switch on/off) how does stress work on us? 90% of stress comes from stress, not from genes 15:50 we are not victims of our genes, we can control then with our (sub)consciousness 17:48 environment and life style influences 21:23 knowledge is power: if you don't know you're programmed to be a victim.... You're a victim! 23:25 stem cells' experiment using laboratory version of blood (culture medium) shows that identical cells develop into different things depending on the environment (not on the genes!) 26:40 how this applies to our bodies: our culture medium is our blood chemistry deciding the fate of our cells 27:55 what chemistry should the brain put in the blood? Whatever picture you put in your mind.... 30:12 60% of subconscious programs are limiting believes! 32:15 before sleep, it lowers the vibration of brain: theta is the hypnosis moment - method 1! 35:30 method 2: habituation: practice and repeat 37:35 (example of golf) when we try to control what we are already doing well, the thinking gets on the way 37:58 there's a destination and there's a mean to that destination : if you focus on the destination, the system will get you there 39:33 focus on what you want, but don't tell the universe how is going to happen We did already the conscious practice which became subconscious - keep practicing the patterns you want, they are going to happen automatically 41:08 acting! 42:15 what you think you are, is what you could get 45:48 resonance - when other people are unable to accept the joy we are giving 50:50 not feeling lovable, then being unable to accept love (pushing people away, so to prove it!) 53:44 unhappy people don't want to be with me because I don't feed their own unhappiness 54:26 stopping being harsh to ourselves 55:33 "don't you have anything better to do rather than listening to this crap (the self hate talk)?" 01:06:00 change the program of relationships! He did! 01:16:00 super-learning 01:18:37 internal family system

I'm a senior which is the common news watching crowd. My late ex-husband watched all the news outlets. It almost seemed that something to worry about kept him going! I basically curate my 'news' my selecting articles from news feeds to browse and having an RSS feed to sites I like to hear from.

This started as an experiment on myself and I’ve been experiencing unexpectedly positive results. I’ve been saying 3 or 4 random phrases from the list first thing in the morning immediately on awaking (or if I wake in the middle of the night) and throughout the day, whichever ones occur and I can remember. I’ve noticed that worry thoughts have decreased a lot, and they don’t really get a chance to take hold in the mornings the more confident I’ve become with using it. On some days when I struggle to feel or believe it, I put my hand on my chest or both and somehow that gesture of warmth and reassurance helps it go in a bit better. I love you I respect you I care about you I appreciate you I like you I value you I’m here for you You are held You are safe You are loved You are accepted I support you I appreciate you I believe in you I love you You are cared for I embrace you I respect myself I am lovable I am good enough I like myself I care about myself I’m grateful to myself I love myself I appreciate you I am loved I am safe I am valued I love myself I accept myself I trust myself

0:37: 💡 The subconscious mind plays a significant role in our behaviors and patterns, often sabotaging the quality of our lives as we are unaware of its influence. 12:05: 🧠 Our conscious and subconscious minds have different functions and learn in different ways, with the subconscious mind being the habit mind that resists change; stress plays a significant role in our health and genetic activity, with less than 1% of diseases being connected to genes and over 90% being stress-related; genes are not the cause of diseases, but rather the activation of genes is influenced by our consciousness and lifestyle. 18:01: ⚙ Genes do not control our fate, but rather our environment and behavior have a significant impact on our health and well-being. 27:06: 💡 The chemistry of the culture medium controls the fate of cells, and the brain determines the chemistry in the blood, which in turn activates genetics. 35:41: 🧠 Habituation and repetition are key to changing subconscious behaviors. 44:09: 😊 The speaker discusses the power of habituation and repetition in changing one's mindset and becoming happy, emphasizing the importance of self-love and positive vibrations. 53:28: 🧠 The speaker discusses the importance of self-awareness and choice in breaking negative thought patterns and shares a personal experience of overcoming self-criticism. 1:02:16: 💑 Relationships can be negatively influenced by subconscious programming acquired during childhood, leading to dysfunctional patterns and difficulties in forming successful partnerships. 1:11:01: 🔑 Energy psychology is a new form of psychology that can reprogram subconscious minds in 15-20 minutes, allowing for rapid behavior change. 1:20:33: 💡 We have the power to create our own reality by changing our subconscious programming. 1:29:42: 🔑 The speaker reflects on the importance of happiness and personal fulfillment, emphasizing the need to prioritize creativity and enjoyment in life. Clarity, emphasis, and writing style are all better than I'd have expected (I don't interact with AI, when there's a choice, because of mistrust and suspicion perhaps, or because of frustration with more primitive systems). @@tammilynn1240 Hi Tammi Sorry to hear you are suffering from UC. In short, I was doing it to myself. I found that I had some programming glitches in my thinking that needed update. Mostly I used hypnosis in combination with the sleep programming techniques described by Dr. Lipton. I also learned to use my imagination to go back and heal childhood hurts. Tommy Walker of "Rapid subconscious Reprogramming" out of Argentina taught me how to do it. You learn to feel your feelings, and go back into your youth to reconcile the negative emotions that are causing your UC. I hope that helps. Good luck towards feeling better soon!

My five siblings and I grew up watching our parents being subservient in attitude, especially to people with money. None of us have progressed much beyond our childhood lifestyle. My children are the only ones who went to university, and my husband and I lived with pride in who we were. Our daughters are very successful professionally, and generally, (for example our grandchildren are in private schools). Although I never went to high school, I went to university and over the years earned my undergrad, and 2 graduate degrees. Sadly now I have little in common with my siblings, as something as basic as good conversation is not possible. Despite that loss, I'm happy with who I have become because of educating myself.

In my family we have a saying:" Have a breakdown and then go on with your life". Meaning, don't let this bad thing be a part of your life. Let yourself go- weep, hate, cry, dam or whatever suits you, have a "party" for not more than half a day (preferably less), then shake it off and start planning for a good tomorrow. If possible you should do it in the presence of supporting people, family or friends. It feels healthy and healing, but I don't know if it is...

the get on with things part doesn't always apply - to chronic conditions- to ongoing problems- when you have no one to emotionally support you.. in my family it is unhealthy because- get on with things- means, your feelings are not important, feelings are not to be expressed in this family.. your sad feelings are triggering me,, i don't know how to soothe or support you,, sadness is a sign of weakness.. breakdowns are a sign of insanity and weakness, weakness will be punished. But in a nurturing space yes it's best not to dwell on things and to move onwards and upwards. In my case I will need to do this alone.

I had great parents who never made me feel like that, yet I still have negative self talk. The first 7 years are a pattern but my negative patterns came later, in school. So, it is not all about the parents. Teachers, child caregivers, coaches, friends, siblings, tv...many influences can program us in a negative way. Girls have negative thoughts because they look at models and celebrities and compare themselves. It goes on and on. I also think social media is the WORST when it comes to making people feel bad about themselves. I found that being positive, extending love, doing yoga and taking care of myself helps me to be much happier. I am also not watching the news much or going on social media often. I find that too stressful and negative.

@@ottokroupa7379 That gives me a clue into why there is negative self talk. I now see that although my parents were good to me, my mom must have talked negatively about herself and I picked up on it. Everything Bruce talked about is spot on. I figured it out years ago and now in my 60's, I am so much younger, healthier and happier than I had ever been in my younger years. Loving yourself is the key to transforming yourself and your life. What your mind believes, is the life that you create, so only think happy healthy thoughts, and you will become that.

I've had his book, the biology of belief for many years, and still refer to it. It's a challenging read but so worth it. When I changed my food and removed all prepackaged food including condiments, all sugar, grains including corn, and seed oil including soy and margarine, and fruit/fructose, a few weeks in I awoke to a quiet mind. I wasn't aware eating the wrong foods could change so much. I also didn't realize how negative my mind was until that day. This opening gave me the opportunity to be the witness to the thoughts and emotions when they came. I was gentle, loving and curious while not reactive. I understood all the ego wanted was the repetitive cycle and would send thoughts urging, demanding and some were harsh to get me back to the same old even though most was unhealthy. I journaled a lot and learned how to deconstruct all hurtful thoughts or statements to find the truth (Byron Katies - The Work- helped with this). The best is when the mind saw the truth it could not go backwards. That's right, through consistency and tenderness, the old and outdated patterns and beliefs collapsed. Living a carnivore lifestyle has allowed me to heal on all levels. I'm in my 60's and on no medication! Regards

However, I developed these disorders when I was 6 or 7 years old during a period when my conflicted parents were having continuous battles and attempts to file for divorce. I also notice that the severity of my allergies and asthma have fluctuated in direct proportion to how well I was getting along with my parents and smoothing over their conflicts by continuously overachieving in a number competitive fields. I can only conclude that my conditions were related to my relationship with my parents and were certainly not genetically programmed.

I have been a nurse for 36 yrs. Most of that time in Behavioral health where I see truly wounded souls. They spend a lifetime trying to heal the wounded child within. I agree with both of the Doctors here. The bible tells us that love is the greatest and I believe is key to everything in life from happiness, health and being productive in this life. If we accept ourselves today as we are and begin to love, forgive who and what we were you can literally see the rose bud in front of your face. It is such a transformative change to learn to love and accept ourselves and others. Our life's journey is about learning and Solomon knew the greatest gift is wisdom. My people perish for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4.6. This video is a great start to healing.

This is good advice to a point. Beyond that it becomes victim blaming. If you aren't manifesting the things you want in your life, it must be your fault for not having the correct subconscious and conscious mindset. This kind of interview is a necessary balance to the way we think today but it is possible to take it too far as indeed this interview does. You cannot alter everything in your life through your mindset. There are realities of life that cannot be altered simply by thinking "correctly." This brings to mind a book called The secret that was very popular a while back. A lot of mystical right thinking that has been used to blame people for the problems in their lives. You have cancer, it must be because you're not manifesting health in your life! No, let's not go this route. By all means reprogramming ourselves to get rid of bad habits and to bring positivity into our lives is good. But some realities are not susceptible to positive thinking and pretending that they are is an excuse to not make greater societal change.

These people are subtle deceivers or maby they have been deceived them selves. In this world there is objective reality and then there is the subjective symbolic map of reality which is projected on to the world in a healthy person your conscious experience is a balance of both. The objective reality is the foundation it is rooted in the body raw sense and the inate intuitions you where born with like feeling, expectations, morality, beauty, God etc... these make you interpret event in a human way its objective because the intuitions are universal its human nature. From the day you where born your taking in sensed impressions of the world onto the symbolic map and patterns can be picked up allowing you to gain insight into your own nature. We live in a system that attacks are intuitions and cuts us off from the foundation this is the real cause of human suffering. Suffering and pain are not the same. The worst part is when cut off you take symbolic representations of reality as reality you can chop up reality and interpret it in a infinite No of ways its all delution. From this deluded point of view you can say you creat reality (the projection) you and everything are one even are modern individualistic life is just another way of chopping it up. The real cause of are modern problems is that we are living in a post enlightenment paradigm. The tabularraza that we are blank slates to be worked on. This idea is half false, its not true but it can be made to become the true. This happens when, through various means, the people are made to take the symbolic representations of reality in place of actual reality and so everything becomes a social construct. The deeper you fall into it the more your intire reality is manipulated. This cuts you of from you intuitions, from your human essence. This is what leave people feeling empty or like there is somthing profoundly wrong with the world. You can think of culture as a kind of accumulated knowledge ment to help you quickly adapt to the reality of life. It is ment to be based in human experience. Modern culture is unnatural and constructed from the top dawn, it should be more properly called social engineering. That is the real problem. Knowledge and awareness are whats important. Knowledge you accrue over time but your awareness can be limited or have blind spots which then effect your knowledge. The best exercise to help in all areas of life are exercises that expand awareness. We live in the fabric of society, businesses governments institutions, its all just people, human being just like you. When you expand your awareness you can intuitively gain knowledge of the world because its just knowledge of people, its intrinsic For example the extream stress of hatred meditation (our upbringing dose not acknowledge righteous anger-an easyblind spot) its the earliest emotion to roots you in the body. These ideas are from the book cultivating power: the art of self development its by khan khattak you can surch for it in amazon. Lets say you want to amplify anger. In the book it says you would cume up with 3-4 scenarios where you would naturally feel anger. E.g. someone disrespecting you in public, another man trying to seduce your wife etc.. now dont try to force the feeling aggressively just go through each of the 4 scenarios and then keep switching between them at random and the emotion running throughout will become amplifyed on its own. You can keep pushing it further and further antil you reach your limit. Naw wave your hand as fast as you can so its blurred and naw your amped try to see your fingertips clearly. Rest repeat for 3 set dont do the exercise again for at least 2 weeks. Hope it helps

57:25 recap #1 hypnosis #2 repetition and changing those habits + energy checkbook around 1:04:04 1:06:52 Know the expression: it's never too late? Some of us like Mr. Bruce Lipton had to learn things others did not have to learn. 1:10:30 You are fully present, you are not thinking too much either 1:11:00 when you're not thinking that means your conscious mind is not looking inside and if your conscious mind is not looking outside, it's engaging with the world and I say yeah but what is a conscious mind? Wishes, desires, aspirations, creative 1:11:16 got it, at that moment is engaging with the world but when you've stopped being present and engaging with your partner in the world and go back to the job stresses, etc then your conscious mind then goes inward is that right? 1:11:22 when you go inwards, you are playing the subconscious 1:11:30 that's right but then well who's controlling the behavior while you're having these thoughts? That's when the subconscious kicks in. *****My comments: so as a rule of thumb, if you go inwards, you are playing the subconscious mind and if you go outwards, you are playing the conscious mind.***** 1:13:22 The #3 is zoom, necessity is the mother of invention 1:15:00 energy psychology 01:16:00 super-learning 01:18:37 internal family system

Success doesn't happen overnight. It's a marathon, not a sprint. You have to pace yourself, put in the work, and be consistent day in and day out if you want to achieve your goals.

I get what he's saying as years ago when I use to drive, I'd be driving down the interstate and I'd start day dreaming and then I realized and wondered how it was I was still driving fine although I wasn't paying attention even though I drifted off into daydream world. And I was so glad I didn't get myself into an accident.

Wow, thank you both! I feel empowered to love myself, be healthy, feel great, and CREATE. I'm also empowered to have positive, completely collaborative relationships, now that I know how, by having conversations about programming instead of arguments. What a breakthru! Happy and grateful I'm getting it at 60 instead of 90. 🙏🏼🤗❤✨️

What a great conversation! Thanks so much for this. I've experienced some incredible healing lately and this conversation just reinforced the path I'm now on. My heart hurts for the people walking around for decades like I was, unknowingly choosing to be depressed and ill. This resonated with me on so many levels. Thank you 🙏😊

I'm 6 months out of an abusive relationship , 2 years of happiness, 6 months of narcissist abuse. In the last 6 months, I was spending all my energy trying to understand the dysfunction. I'm done spending my time and energy there. I'm returning to my happy mindset that I had prior to this relationship

Since I turned 20 yrs old, I've tried and failed to get anywhere with mental health, this has given me more guidance in 5 minutes than in all those years. I had actually reached the point of this being a possible theory all by myself, but I still needed confirmation that it was actually true and not just a crackpot theory that I'm trying to figure out for myself, with nothing to support it. My elders who could offer clues to my childhood are now all gone, sadly, so I just have brief conversations where I touched upon it with them. Then these videos come out of nowhere- I think KZbin fed me this content because of listening to so many 'help-to-sleep-528Hz ' music videos. I've spent half of my life trying to figure out why I am so broken, all that time has passed me by, where I should have been having a blast. Now I feel a paradox looming over the horizon; The irony of almost figuring out the why's and what's right before I joss it. All the time, a life spent suffering and desperately trying to figure out why... only to realise that my life has now come to an end and it's time to pass away...
