Hi Nancy! Glad you like the videos! I live in a climate where there is not a lot of humidity in the air. I think that affects the paper. You can gesso the front side and then add gel medium to the back. That should help keep the buckling to a minimum. Give it a try!

nice demo! I find the middle of painting (the messy middle) the most challenging. Are you working on gessoed watercolor paper?

Totally understand, Kathy! The middle stages can be hard. These two pieces are on Bristol paper and I added gesso before I started. I have many other videos. Just go to my account and scroll down the page. I have everything categorized. Thanks!!

I think your paintings would also look good with a heavy acrylic application on a large canvas,just saying. I paint landscapes and having never tried abstract. This would be fun time for me playing with shapes and colours. I like your painting style.
