I had a remote that stopped working today. Changed batteries and nothing worked. This video then popped up on my phone. (How strange) followed your video. Restarted firestick, then put batteries in remote. I then pressed a button on remote to confirm still nothing but wow it worked. I did not have to go through the home button holding section. Thank you very very much. Saved me going to buy another remote. I do have one that done the same a while ago and I replaced the remote. Will try resetting it tomorrow to see if I brought a remote for no reason. But thanks

I had to do it twice. The 1st time I unplugged from wall, and followed your instructions. And it wasn't working. Then I just unplugged from my power supply block and followed your instructions once again and it worked. Thank you so much!

It helped!! Thank you. My concern was I wasn’t getting the “remote not detected” on my tv screen so I was worried I might have another issue. But after holding the home button for 1-2 minutes and then rapid fire pressing it back and forth finally I got the remote not detected message. Then the remote started working. 🎉 thank you 🙏
