Yes, since I reboot it and specially changed the position of MI stick from back side of LED to below, in a hanging position, problem was solved :)

Hello. After an official and normal update, my tv stick stuck on the black boot logo. Can not enter recovery mode either. This makes me angry... A normal update bricks your device

Hi Antonybee, I have had a similar case with my device. Could you make sure, the MI stick is not placed on the back of your LED? I don't know the reason but when I brought my MI stick in front or hanging below the LED it started working fine. We never know the temperature in a wall-mounted LED but somehow it affects your MI device performance and it gets stuck during an update. Bring it in the front somehow and I hope it will start working fine.

Please change the device position from backwards to the front. There could be some unidentified heat signals on the back side, which can affect the performance and can cause restarting issues. Please change the position, and it will resolve the issue 😊

Dear Vikram, Reason of Fault: Sometimes you place your TV stick on the back of TV and due to heat and other magnetic waves, TV stick malfunctions and restart again and again. Solution: Please try to bring your TV stick to the front side OR in hanging position below the TV. Hope this will help you resolve the issue.

Hi Arshad, may i please ask you to change location of MI TV stick and avoid putting it in the back of your LED. Sometimes, you never know and TV stick is affecting badly by some heat behind the TV its better your stick should be in hanging position, below TV.

I’m going to bombard this question,exactly the same problem after rebooting ,erasing data,hanging stick in front,still the same.was working fine for a 1 year all of a sudden since Tuesday it’s been restarting over and over again

Try cooling down your stick by putting in front of the air conditioner. This seems a stupid idea, but the restarting issue is because of overheating. My stick is also the same now, and cooling it down works the best solution so far.

Hi Nitay, thanks for your message. You need to reset it by pressing the menu and back button. This will take the stick to recovery mode. Format/reset it and it should work properly :)
