Thanks for the detailed video! Great job! I have this model, with a slight rainbow effect on the lcd due to the old polarizing film. In the future I will check your video again step by step, if i need to do some maintenance on the watch.

Amazing work!! What was the hardness of the sandpaper? And which product did you use after that? If I found one with a cracked glass the only option is replacement 😢?
@abukambing177 Жыл бұрын
the hardest grit that i used is 600 up until 1500... then i use car windscreen polisher to polished it back. it depends if the crack is not all the way to the back u might be able to save the glass.

Great job! I also removed scratches off a Casio Marlin H101 and a Casio Melody Alarm H104 using sandpaper and water. But now glass is slightly cloudy. Can you please tell me how you get the glass to be crystal clear again?
@abukambing177 Жыл бұрын
Thank you, u have to use some high grit sandpaper and then when the scratches becomes fine, use glass polisher to polish the glass... polish until the glass is no longer cloudy.

Nice job!! Hey, any idea how to check based on a serial number how old vintage marlin is? For mine it says "The serial number (264118) equates to June 1992, 2002, 2012 or 2022". Does that mean it surely isn't 1982? It is w-150 (H101) model. Do you know at what year they were discontinued?

Any idea how to troubleshoot the sound? I got a Module 108 with everything working as it should, except sound. I noticed that this model has no piezo on the inner plate nor an obvious place to put a spring on.

U should try getting urself a powered toothbrush just for cleaning small electronics. Preferably one that is "Ultrasonic." U gotta figure they are used to clean teeth but not harm the gums is very helpful when it comes to delicate things but REALLY blasts off the grime when u need it to. They also come with various brush stiffness and have other attachments that can be helpful in tight areas. Just a suggestion

P.S-I also have one JUST for getting stains outta clothes before I wash them. I just use detergent as "toothpaste" and go to town. Works AMAZINGLY
