The Wood Stain Kit can be used to stain any type of wood. It contains all the product you need to prepare, stain and finish the wood and has been designed to be as easy to use as possible.
The kit contains our best-selling Wood Stain and comes in nine popular colours to suit the most common types of wood used today. The Wood Stain is low odour, fast drying and environmentally friendly so can be used by anyone in the home or garden with ease.
The kit can be used on any type of wood (oak, beech, walnut etc) and can be used on wood made into any item (furniture, worktops, doors etc). The variable in each instance is the type of finish on the wood; this could be oil, wax, varnish, paint, lacquer, or bare wood.
The kit will work with each type of finish, but you will need to make sure the old finish has been removed before applying the new stain and varnish with the kit. The kit contains all the product you will need to do this.
Once stained the wood is then varnished. Each kit comes with Matt Varnish and Gloss Varnish, which can either be used on their own, or mixed together to achieve any level of sheen required.
