Dude! I started making flutes on a bus as something to do while waiting to pick up passengers, with bamboo I cut out of a riverbed between stops. Gave one of the flutes to a musician I know to see what he thought, he gave me this same guitar with an amp today!

I purchased a 1999 model Maton M125 Natural Series Acoustic guitar from a pawn shop and pimped it out with black hardware, Black Gotoh mini tuners, ebony bridge pins, ebony end pin, Graph Tech Black Tasq nut and compensated bridge saddle... The stark contrast of black against aged honey golden woods of Sitka spruce and highly figured Australian Queensland Maple is breathtaking, it looks and sounds amazing... 🎶🎶🎶

Hey Marty it's been a while since I picked up a guitar and no matter how long it has been I always come back to this channel. you're one of the best teachers, and can I please ask? There's one song I want to learn. ""I don't want to set the world on fire"" but if not thank you for always teaching me.

Use that pickup, but swap magnets to various Alnico types to show how far that goes. So much difference is just the charge, quality and type of magnet. The rest is just bobbins and wire, unless it's rattling.

Hey Marty, very cool video. The truss rod scares me 😊. Your new guitar looks and sounds great!!
@lonesomedove20245 ай бұрын
I have no argument with you adjusting the truss rod under tension. I prefer to do it without the strings, so I know I have a completely straight neck. I also do my fret work; leveling, crowning, polishing and beveling at that point. I like the neck flat for that. If the strings then pull a bit of bow back into it, I can adjust that to my liking.

Everyone always wants to put Seymour Duncan pups in their guitar as if those high priced pups are going to make you sound good. Unless you really need a specifically hot sound or something, stock pups all the way. Unless they're cheap ceramics and you don't like that sound.
