Dude! I started making flutes on a bus as something to do while waiting to pick up passengers, with bamboo I cut out of a riverbed between stops. Gave one of the flutes to a musician I know to see what he thought, he gave me this same guitar with an amp today!

Use that pickup, but swap magnets to various Alnico types to show how far that goes. So much difference is just the charge, quality and type of magnet. The rest is just bobbins and wire, unless it's rattling.

I have no argument with you adjusting the truss rod under tension. I prefer to do it without the strings, so I know I have a completely straight neck. I also do my fret work; leveling, crowning, polishing and beveling at that point. I like the neck flat for that. If the strings then pull a bit of bow back into it, I can adjust that to my liking.

sadly youtube has more and more "for content" videos of "restorations" that butcher guitars like that with no comentary that look almost like real thing butin fact make the instrument even worse and unrestorable later. but you only know that if you actually know the trade and look for mistakes . they literally look like ai generated book reviews . kind of copycating real luthiers techniques and procedures to look like real thing evan though doing it has no merit . i feel like videos like this just put more fuel into the fire at least point out that if you are not a pro don't work on veryfied authentic coloctor instruments because unprofessional restoration will not improve the value of a wrecked coloctor instrument, but tuning up a player grade low end from a pawn shop can be a quick way to get an axe to have fun with, just don't expect the investment to pay off for itself
