How to reuse CO2 cartridges

I made a similar thing myself. Its only used to test Co2 guns and magazines for leaks. I struggle to get 200 psi into it so theres no way it would fire any of my guns.

My friend, I can't imagine why you can't shoot it. If the cartridge come from the factory loaded with 800 psi and a pistol is capable of shooting between 20, 30 and 40 shots per cartridge, depending on the power of the pistol, divide it and the result is much less than 200 psi. I did this for a spearfishing gun that does require quite a bit of power psi, because shoot a harpoon including the counterforce of the sea pressure, however it shoots.

yo hice ese procedimiento pero hace 5 años pero sí utilicé ácido y una soldadura de aleación para poder unir los metales para que quede una buena unión y funciona muy bien pero con mucho cuidado porque sí se va a utilizar CO2 es peligroso

I feel like at this point you may as well just weld a connector for a compressor right to the inlet of the gun and just have infinite shots lol. Would have a hose attached when using it but hey for unlimited shots with a decent pellet gun that would be fine with me.

My friend, that solder is made of tin and the paste is water-based flux, but let me tell you that the joint that was soldered is brass and aluminum. When soldering bronze and steel, it is best to use tin-silversolder with acid-based flux. How is it possible to fill that with 850psi ? A car tire only has 35psi to compare

I do not recommend filling up to that amount of psi, this is only for one shot.

Can I use a soldering iron to solder those two together or does it have to be from a blow torch?

I don't know! It has to be a high watt iron point, I can't tell you about something I've never do.

Amigo mío a mi me gusta hacer videos para descomplicarle la vida a la gente. En el video use estaño con plata, que está entre las mejores soldadura para la unión entre el aluminio y el bronce, porque tiene una resistencia de 15000 psi, suficiente para este tipo de trabajo y un punto de fusión muy por debajo del cartucho de aluminio y el bronce o latón de lo que está hecha la válvula, ya que el aluminio y el bronce se pueden derretir antes que otros tipos de soldadura, saludos.

Good point, I realized after I soldered it, but there is a solution, the stems can removed from the valve and clean inside, anyway I didn't do it because it is not a problem in this pneumatic gun that i made.

My friend, you think so, but almost all millionaires value cents as the basis of their capital. Besides, it is not work when you enjoy what you do and you save time going to buy or order new cartridges.🙂
