The color in that steak is insane. I’ve been making mine exclusively in cast iron or carbon steel pans exclusively for a few years now. I’m just getting into charcoal grilling so I’m gonna give a try. Great video.

Do you find the rib eye closest to the chuck end more tender ? I’ve found that when I buy one with a large fat cap it never renders and is chewy, yet when I bit it closer to the chuck end with little to no centre fat it’s usually a lot more tender and tastier, maybe you could do a vid and cook one from each end of the same rib eye roast to see which one is more tender, also love to see you do a chuck steak reverse sear like a rib eye, I find it amazing, cheers Brother

i guess the great advantage of reverse searing is that u dont need to rest. sometimes if u a rest a big boy 10 mins , u are then eating it luke warm

Thanks for the videos mate 👍 Is it possible to use the reverse sear method on some ~4-500g 2cm thick New York Strips? Or would you only recommend this method for larger cuts, like the ribeye you did?
@LownSlowBasics
@LownSlowBasics 5 ай бұрын
@@Yanna316 cheers mate! For a thinner cut like that around 2cm I’d direct grill instead 🤘
