Hi Krish sir , I am learning data science concepts and I was wandering do I need to learn data structures too?
@harshgoyal77323 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. Yes because, at big tech companies, Data Scientists / Machine Learning Engineers usually get a couple of algorithm-style interviews, Furthermore, problem-solving skills problems are helpful for all technical interviews. No, because, at big tech companies, Data Scientists / Machine Learning Engineers also get more domain-specific interviews on topics like probability and statistics.

@@harshgoyal7732 Thanks, btw, do data scientist actually apply competitive coding, DSA advanced stuffs, in solving real use cases of Data sci, ML DL? i wonder this thing

is making notes while learning anything would be helpful, because some say it is waste of time to write.

sir please answer my question i have a habit doing this so is i am going in a right way.

Bro trust me. Please write notes. It's so much helpful to you. But don't write everything like you do in schools. Only write your understanding in a simple way. Suppose you learnt a algorithm. Just write it in simple words with diagrams if needed. Such that next time if you forgot something and you look at this notes you should be able to remember quickly. Believe it or not I completed deep learning in 4 days. I remember everything all because of notes. Because i can keep looking at for quick revision. I studied deep learning before but took nearly 5 months because i kept forgeting everything. Then i almost forgot everything. Then i was able to learn everything in 4 days with 8 hours study per day. So "Write short rough notes of your understanding especially for ml and dl algorithms, metrics, loss functions, activation functions, optimizers model architectures etc. Because when search google because you forgot something. Website explanations will to too long and you won't be able to quickly revise. But from notes you quickly revise concepts and remember everything you forgot"

@@pixelbyashish Don't write notes for programming stuff. These you can easily find online. And you save some code snippets in Gist from Github. So when you forgot some code you can look at your Gist

@@krishnar6717 yaa thanks bro i only write notes for algo.... only the concepts and little bit of formula to remember
@krishnar67173 жыл бұрын
@@pixelbyashish That's great. One more tip. Look at your notes everyday. Go through everything and make sure you can recall everything. Incase you forgot something. You can easily revise from there itself
