I don’t think these are the problem anymore it’s the people who use them and park them on the sidewalks where everybody either rides their bicycles or walks it’s like why do I have to inconvenience myself to move it out the way or rather why would somebody just leave it in the middle of a narrow sidewalk

I don't know if it's a special thing with the users in Germany ... These users place these scooters anywhere, in the middle of a walking Way, just in front of an underground car park, and the best of all I've ever seen just in the middle of the road. Premium mobility for premium users.

Absolute meanace in my town. People leave them in the middle of sidewalks, parking spaces, saw one in the street once. People ride them up and down the middle of the street, cut off cars, run red lights. Only a matter of time before some idiot gets hit and killed by one. City won’t do anything about it because they’re making too much noney

That’s more a problem with the mentality of the people than a problem of the scooters. People also don’t park their car or bicycle in the middle of the road.. i wouldn’t know why one would do that with a rental scooter. After the ride you have to photograph the parking location, so in theory it should not be possible to park in such asocial ways. Unless Lime is not doing anything with these pictures.

It’s easy when you go to or leave a bus/metro/tram and got to travel a few hundred meters more. That has nothing to do with owning other expensive items. The point is that you don’t need to carry a scooter around; there’s always one nearby. Also don’t need to think about maintenance or theft or storing or charging it. Also a bit childish to think that people have iPhones just to “rock”. It’s a nice and fluent working smartphone, not a showoff item or so. Only school kids do showing off towards each other.
