My adult son (he is 41) & I (I am 68) did a Mom/Son trip in Sept (15-17) We did all 4 parks & rode almost everything in 3 days!! We used Multipass, Single Pass, VQ, & standby. We did early entry until close. Some things we did 2x - Guardians, Soarn, Remy, Avatar, Tiana. Saw Fantasmic & Happily Ever After, saw some shows - Lion King, Frozen Sing Along, Indiana Jones. We did it!!!!🎉🎉🎉

1) Don't try to ride every ride. 2) If you must ride every ride, early entry every day, first bus. (2b Epcot Intl entrance for Remy, get there very very early. Front entrance for Frozen.) 3) LL for HS and MK, and give your kid the phone to manage the timing. 4) Pay for one or two must do's, eg Rise. 5) For those rides somehow you don't get to, call it a good reason to come back in a couple years. Somehow we didn't manage to get on The Land last visit in June. The Land, people.

We miss Big Thunder Mountain because it was down almost the entire day during our visit in March. By the time it went back up with a reasonable wait time, my family was tired and already walking out of the park. I’m planning to ride it at DL next summer.

Tshirt idea: Riding the rides, but with icons and tick mark boxes on the back, so that the list can get crossed off with a sharpie as you get on each ride. (My kid did a fun run school fundraiser which was so many laps around the front lawn track, and each lap around got crossed off on his back with a sharpie to keep track of all of the 3rd graders running around.)

it is very, very, very, crowded (all parks.) Only time I highly recommend paying for rides, esp. if you won't be back to Disney for a few years. Well worth it. Friend who lives in Florida did Fast Pass and indiv pay for one day so she could walk on rides with two grandchildren. They by- passed a ONE HOUR LINE WAIT for Frozen and WALKED ON non stop (no wait.) She says "best money I ever spent." During this crowded week, some "in-the-know" fans stay 2 nights at Disney hotel to do early entry, and then go to Holiday Inn down the road for half the cost per night. . . lots of games you can play; watch all YT vids.

@@esciteach7997Thank you for the tips. We’re pretty much planning to pay for Lighting Lane every day. We’ll likely play Individual LL by ear but we won’t be back for I’d guess at least 5 years so we’ll definitely have to factor all that in. We’re regulars to Disneyland though so we already plan to skip anything we must if DL has an exact copy. Like RotResistance. Though I love that ride so hopefully we can go on it. And hopefully 8 full days is enough!

Yes! All eligible Early Theme Park Entry hotels can be found here: disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/early-entry/ As for the 7 day Lightning Lane booking window, the only non-Disney-owned hotels that’ll give you that extra benefit are Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green Resort.

I’ve always been a pre-rope dropper for AK to ride pandora. Can anyone vouch for after 4pm pandora? I love the night colors but it’s my husbands first time and i want him to get on FOP.

If your visit is during an “off-peak” time (like post Labor Day - mid November), after 4pm the waits for FOP can be 30-50 minutes on weekdays. While 50 minutes sounds long, FOP’s standby queue is mostly indoors, has AC, and is well themed. Plus, your actual wait will probably be 10-15 min shorter than what’s projected. However, if you’re visiting during a busy time (like Thanksgiving week, the week between Christmas & New Year’s, a marathon weekend, spring break, etc), the standby wait for FOP will easily be over 60 minutes after 4pm.

This is the problem with Disney the fact that there needs to be a 30 minute video explaining in Detailing to people how you can actually get on these rides is what my biggest complaint is. I think it’s great of DFB to put this information out there but I should not need to do homework to be able to go get on a ride.

It's more than that, if you want to even attempt to ride them all you'll a million percent need the single and multi pass lightening lanes so expect to add a few hundred dollars to your budget there...and even then you'll need a lot of luck. We go for 2 weeks and do each park twice from open to close and I still haven't been able to do every ride in our trip.

How is having so much available to do a problem? If you'd rather take a relaxed approach, that's your choice, and it's fine. It's not like I ride every single ride at any other park when I go. But this is just an ideal itinerary. You could make this with any park, but disney people have fun planning, so these videos sell well. Magic kingdom has over 20 rides, and way more other shows and attractions like the Tiki Room or Hall of Presidents. This is about knowing how to maximize your time at a place where there is so much you wanna do. That's not a problem. You don't need homework to ride one ride, but if you wanna do 18 in a day like we sometimes do, it helps to know the info. Just like it can help to know the wait time trends for Hagrids at Universal. This sounds like a personal problem that you're describing and not a park problem.

@@chezaraeyothers5164exactly! This multi pass deal doesn’t work at all when parks start to become more busy. We had rides pre booked seven days out, then once we got there several rides we had pre booked were not available to us last minute because of over booking of certain rides that day. They would give you a redemption lightning lane but only for a lesser ride.
