Cool. Can you describe wind speed, your weight, bilard volume and sail size?

Nice, realistic footage!!! I think I could sail, with your technique suggestions, offerings, that level of wave sailing!!! Unfortunately I’m in Charleston, SC! And our waves form and close in 7-12 seconds. Mostly 7😂

Excellent. That’s exactly the kind of stuff I need. Live explanation of how to catch waves. Great would be also on how to get out through white water and back. Thanks. That’s so useful. How much wind was there? What equipment do you use on light wind wave riding days? Thanks again.
@FedericoMorisio
@FedericoMorisio 2 жыл бұрын
Great Andres!! I think live explanation is super useful! I've recorded a video about that for Starboard, it should be out soon, stay tuned on their channel! The wind was offshore and gusty, probably in between 10 and 20 knots max. That day I was on the Starboard Ultrakode 78 and Severne S-1 4.8 👌💯

Nice tips thanks, waveriding tips series like this would be great for us beginners. Can you do one for when and how to lay down the sail at bottom turns?
@FedericoMorisio
@FedericoMorisio 2 жыл бұрын
Stoked to hear that!😁🤙 That's a nice one, people enjoys a lot the "lay down" even though sincerely it isn't that useful! For example I like to do it when I carry a lot of speed and want to better see the wave; but if not, it can make you lose a lot of speed! I will keep in mind such video for the future, thanks for telling me!👌💯

light wind, you mean les than 14 knts ? how do you manage to waterstart ?
@FedericoMorisio
@FedericoMorisio 2 ай бұрын
@@peterfuzz3887 Yes, I would say in between 10 and 16 knots it's pretty light wind. To waterstart I usually wait for a gust and most of all I swim hard with my front leg and push hard with the back leg to get on top of the board!

From pumping to turning your not hooked. Is that how you usually go?
@FedericoMorisio
@FedericoMorisio 2 жыл бұрын
I'm almost always hooked, but obviously to pump that strong I have to unhook and then once I'm on the wave I could hook again but it depends how strong and consistent is the wind; sometimes I prefer to "feel" the power with the arms until I'm riding. On a normal day I would he hooked, unhook to pump, hook again once I'm on the wave waiting for it to form and then unhook to ride it 👌🤙

I like your comments over the footage. The music on the background is (for me) just a nuisance, doesn't add anything to the excellent footage and makes it harder to hear what you are saying.
