Cool rig Michael, lot easier than trying to thread line through the bait for attaching a stinger hook at the rear. Thanks for the instruction. Have you used any hollow baits like Yum, I think they're called Big or Easy Money? Big hollow boot foot. You rig them on huge EWG hooks they supply with the bait. I could never rig them right, the instructions sucked. They end up ripping the bait. So I used the biggest hook lead heads I could find. I don't think the bait would last one toothy big fish bite. Storm makes awesome lures. The Hot N Tot in firetiger is my favorite for Kings over here on lake Ontario. Cheers 👍😎🎣

Joe, I use hollow swimbait a lot. Haven't tried the Yum (Money Minnow?) but i use some similar softbaits, with that big slot in the body. I my opinion it is crucial to choose the right size Offset/texas style hook for the individual bait. I will try to make a video on that during the coming months. Rigged "Weightless" on one of these hooks they are dynamite when trying to catch predators in weedy areas. Just the softbait and a hook - in essence it is kind of a finesse presentation, I guess. Cheers :0)

I love the Hot'N'Tot and the Subwart lures as well, by the way :0)

Michael Jensen yeah money minnow. I think they came out a few years ago, everybody and their brother made that style of bait. This came with I believe a 7/0 EWG offset hook. I wouldn't pay regular price, I found a twin pack at Walmart for like 75% off. I've had a couple of big sprees at Cabela's. We have their card and you get money back, Cabela's Bucks, to buy of their stuff. They're like a "pusher" in that respect, lol. Among all the plastics I also got some hollow boot swim baits in ghost minnow color. Huge 7 or 8 inch. It looked more like a sucker, which as you know is great for pike, but had a purple irridescense. I get fly fishing and tying stuff there too, as well as spinning tackle. I've some wiggle warts too. But those Ontario Kings out of Oswego R in NY love those firetiger hot n tots. That's the only fish I've caught on that lure. Overall jigs, CD Raps, or live bait (night crawlers) rigs are my go to stuff. A video on rigging would be great, cheers buddy.👍😎🎣

Joe, I guess the name Money Minnow wasn't intentionally referring to the price... but it seems fitting ;0) I will keep those swimbaits in mind for future rigging videos. Cheers my friend :0)

Michael Jensen lol, 🎣🙌💰💰💰 that's funny. But I think it pertains to tournaments, "use our lure and win the big money!". I guess tournaments and competition are ok, but it's really not my cup of tea. Though I do regret not entering a contest that a local lake association puts on every year when walleye season starts. I'm shore bound, no boat, so my lady and I went and fished at a popular spot on the riprap right where the lake's river outlet starts. A big freaking storm blew in, high winds, thunder & lightning, heavy down pour! Head for cover under the bridge! I yelled as her hat blew off and headed down river. We gathered our stuff and ran under the interstate bridge. I swear it was a tornado, at least a powerful wind shear. Anyway as soon as it cleared we went back to our spot and I cast a Tom Mann swimbait on a jig. ( Remember him, plastics, unique lures) It was a translucent light blue, a split dorsal fin that sort of made it Tex - posed, and a ribbon tail. It also had a pouch to add a rattle, scent pad, or a piece of Alka Seltzer, which was popular for a while because of the bubbles it produced. First cast and I started a retreve and was immediately snagged. I thought I had a clump of weeds that the storm had kicked up. Then those weeds started to thump! thump! thump! Hey I got something, get the net! It fought a typical big walleye fight, strong head shakes, powerful runs to the bottom. I finally got it close, Holy F--- I got Big Moe!!!! It was broad side to me, dorsal all fanned out, gills flared and the jig stuck in it's mouth. It looked like a shot from In Fisherman TV. Well 26.25 inches of my trophy fish would have beat the tourney winner by 2.25 inches! After I thought the storm must have disoriented the bait fish. That minnow bait had a passable perch profile and the color probably looked like a shad, both prey of the walleye. So that was "almost" my "money 💰 minnow"! Thanks for letting me tell my story... Cheers Michael 👍😎 PS, I replied on the website Black Zebra. I don't know if you got it, said it had to clear first. Also I told another KZbin tyer, Piscator, about the awesome jig you made. Hope that's ok.
