Yeah it’s pretty irritating sometimes, depending on the mode I believe the jump/dive button is the same, might be road to the show honestly

why this isnt clearer in the game no one knows. ive been ffying for years to time my jump with the 3rd arrow amd have never robbed anyone. Finally took the internet to solve the issue and its pretty simple to understand. your globe is the 4th arrow. you have to time your jump so that it comes in at the same time a 4th green arrow would come thanks

Literally have tried this method so many times. Stull can't rob anything I try jumping on 4 I try 4 than jump. And I'm counting as they light up green 1,2,3 and jump on 4 either end up being to late or to early. Do I need to keep the running animation going or should I be standing still, against the wall or a bit of distance away. Literally uave tried so many thing and nothing see.s to work. Very disheartening when I try and try and can't even rob 1 let alone do it consistently

Sometimes the game lies and says it’s possible even tho the ball is way higher than you can reach. Don’t be discouraged, keep trying and you’ll get it! Definitely harder to do in online modes compared to road to the show.

@borgy07 I'm only playing rrts right now, is fhere any stats or anything I should maybe upgrade to make it a tad easier. Like obviously I don't want it to be super easy I was to feel like I earned it but somethings gotta give here. Is there any other cues I should be looking out for other than counting to4 when they are green and in rythm

It’s mostly just timing, definitely need to upgrade your fielding stats! Speed will get you there quicker, and fielding stat itself will help you actually make the play

Yes these clips are from road to the show, which to my knowledge is the best way to be able to practice this since there is no custom scenario gamemode in 21. Best bet is to play as an outfielder and wait for the right opportunity!

wish you could practice...in 21 i played short stop and had hardly any balls i could dive for hit to me and of shear luck i was just once able to dive and throw a guy out. Also, though its a bit off topic, i nvr got opportunities to be the cutoff man and throw a guy out or dive for a flyball to short left. The other team's shortstops get opportunities to cut throws and throw guys out. So now in 22 im still in the Padres organization but was asked this time to change positions because of Tatis. In 21 i just played over Tatis right away. he never ayed unless i pitched. why not move him to second? or ask me to? This year they did ask for a position change or offered to trade me if i was unwilling. The Padres are my team so i accepted their offer to play right field. Why right field? im a shottstop. why not 2nd? currently i have a higher overall rating that the guy at 2nd... i wonder if i play ling enough if they'll ever let me move back? if tatis gets traded/hurt/retired? The announcers cant stop talking about how smooth i am in the outfield which makes me doubt the game thinks of me as a SS anymore a d wouldnt think to move me if there was an opportunity. Id rather play center field but right has been ok. its a change of pace from constant routine ground balls at SS. But i was always a SS in real life until i got older and more competitive at which point i played alot of 2nd and occasionally 3rd. Never was an outfielder.

Exactly! Essentially pretend there is a 4th arrow and time it with that fourth arrow

O have the series s..... but no 4k so I went with my playstation 5. Not sure it's 60 fps on series s. But I'm happy I got this game. Btw thank you for letting us know earm a sub.

That extra second came in mad clutch on RTTS a minute ago, the arrows showed up again (first 2 times I kept spamming jump on 3 to no avail) so I paused game after the first went green, quick google search, this was the first result, quick watch and boom, stolen homer to end the inning, the home crowd go silent😂😂😂

I’m definitely struggling more in this game as well, best I can suggest is find a good camera angle and really just start on easy difficulties and work your way up. Dynamic difficulty is perfect as it changes difficulty based on your performance! I use strike zone 2 (I’m pretty sure) because I feel I can see movement easier. Patience too! I struggle with taking pitches if they’re iffy, but I’ve seen people say they notice a lot more competitive balls being thrown this year. Hope this helps at least a bit!
