How to root Galaxy Note 2 running Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Yeah finally got it after so many times following these steps. I couldn't get team win screen. so this is what I did. As soon as Odin gives u the pass or rest quickly disconnect usb and take battery off, wait 20 seconds, place battery and boot into recovery 3 button method, then simply go to install, choose superSU in phone storage and swipe to flash. thanks for the vid. I'm using at&t i317 4.4.2

Thanks, I finally found one that works! I followed Michael Pusch's instructions and it worked. SuperSU wasn't installed so I had to manually install it from the play store :)

Hasitha Dharmapriya you must transfer the Root-ZIP file on the InternalRAM. Reboot with down, menu and power and wait about the Bootmenu. Then "install" an select the ZIP file. now, the "superuser"file was installed. reboot in normal mode. done... the flashprocess is only for the new bootmenue. not for the superuser. only with the new bootmenue you can install the superuserfile

I had done it once, one week before and it worked fine then. Today again my note 2 device showed me nothing on the screen except 'samsung note 2'. I tried installing same firmware which I successfully used earlier using odin. But this time, in mid way, odin gave me failed message. I unplugged the device from the computer, pull the device battery out and again put it in. Now my device is not starting. Every try has failed. Soft boot, hard boot nothing. Nothing is showing up no matter which combination of keys is pressed. Please provide solution.

Verizon Galaxy Note 2- There is not a TRWP file for this particular phone. I will assume using the moderator version N1700 recovery would conflict with me phone. Any suggestions?

I did all like you said but the results were different. I am still on stock recovery even I tried two times using ODIN V3.04 to flash custom recovery into TWRP but I am unsuccessful. Everytime I hold the Volume+Home+Hold I get into the stock recovery. Please help, is there any issue with knox since I have logged into it. I see 2 bugs in this. 1. It forgets that the phone is rooted..... SuperU and AGNi control pops up a dialog box when launched saying..."This app works only on rooted device". 2. Somewhere out of the blue.....the Music app switches on with some audio file last played/paused. P.S. Running it for past 12 hours.

Hi I have GT-N7100 ( Samsung Galaxy Note 2 ) 4.4.2 KitKat ! I recently tried to root my device with Odin odin3 v1.85 ( cwm6-root-note2 ) and got the pass. I am not able to use SU ( Which was already pre-installed by me before rooting from play store ) Also it give the message "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it". I cannot also go to CWM Recovery mode by Pressing Vol Up + Home Button + Power Button as screen go mad and switch it off, Then I need to start it again to use my phone normally. I have also installed an app from Play Store named Root Checker which verify if phone is rooted or not and it say "Root Access is not properly configured or was not granted". Thanks to god my phone is still working but I still wish to Root My phone again with correct process ! Q. Can I still Re-Root My phone ? Many thanks, I had installed lolipop but Kies can't detect my note 2 after install it. I try to figure out how to revert back to 4.4.2 kitkat so I can transfer my backup to my device. Took 1 and half day and finally I found out that the USB cable is caused my Kies won't detect device. What I did first was removed the battery and change the cable. Run Odin and enter recovery mode, as before Odin can't detect my device port but after that it works by changing USB cable and remove the battery. Hope this helps. Thanks.
