I have no issue using my camera app, but if you have one that you'd like for me to test, let me know. All of my banking apps work too, since we're able to bypass safetynet checks, they have no reason to not work but you'll need to follow my 'pass safetynet' tutorial I did for the S21/pixel 6. because you need to pass those checks for banking apps to work

Thank you for your video tutorial. What is the status of the safetynet after rooting?
@ExplainingAndroid3 жыл бұрын
safetynet checks are done via hardware attestation so it's failing after root on the S21 series. I've read that using a safetynet patch (version 2.0 of the beta release) will fix it, but it breaks some other things (like fingerprint authentication in apps) the developer says he does not support any heavy OEM ROMs (like OneUI) so I'm not certain this bug will get fixed I may do a video to show how to install this mod in the future, but i'll need to put up a disclaimer so people know the risks i'll likely begin working on this video after I do a 'how to install OTA updates with root and while keeping root' tutorial soon

Okey so super helpful video first off. So I wanna root my s21 ultra too but I have some questions before I do. First can I do permanent damage with I, cuz I never rooted a phone. Second will it mess with my warranty provided by the manufacturer. Third can I still use all apps normally like Google or Samsung pay and all that normal Google play store app stuff. Fourth do I have to update my phone manually from then on. Fifth can I backup my current personal stuff on my phone and then when I'm in the android setup just get it back?

you do lose access to things like samsung pay, samsung secure folder, etc. and unless you can find a mod to bypass safetynet (which can be done right now, i have another tutorial showing how. it's just that's a cat/mouse game that sometimes has bugs) then you also loss any app that requires you to pass that (pokemon go, mcdonalds, bank apps are all infamous for not working on rooted phones) I think you'll want to do more research before rooting so you know what you'll miss out on ahead of time but definitely join our daily Android discussions too kzbin.info/door/nowc_KHgjVNj3Y-E-oQ8awjoin

Hello, I am currently using Samsung S20 FE and was previously having OnePlus 6T. I had only recently switched(2 months ago) from oxygen OS 10 to One UI 3.1 and noticed that starting from One UI Samsung no longer offers Multi-user feature on it's UI but stock android and many other custom UI still has this feature. While using 6T I got to know about this feature and loved using it, with this I didn't need to use 2 phones as I could get by using this feature. So I was really disheartened to know that One UI doesn't have it. I looked it up online and it seems I could enable this feature by having root access and editing build.prop. But I am a little skeptical about the idea of root my new device. However even if I root my phone I don't want to keep having root access after enabling the multi user feature and wish to unroot it afterwards. So I wanted to know if the changes I made while the device was rooted would be reverted back if I unroot my device? Thank you so much for reading my query. If possible please tell me how should I go about it.
