hello. i'm trying to learn how to turn a character slightly in photoshop. will your video help me with that? like, instead of turned and looking straight at you, how to turn them (so they are looking at someone) and also the direction of their eyes.

I don't think this will help exactly, you could use a skew tool or perspective warp to get the desired effect, although it might be just best to recreate the character with the correct angles/placement.

Not the same! Ctrl+T transforms what is within the selection, whereas "transform selection" allows you to move the selected area around, even whilst on the image layer (it won't affect the image until you delete for example).
