Please keep making videos!! Talking to good players at tournaments and pickup is great but nothing like a coaching-style video with slow-mo. These will really help me to improve

Can you make this video again but include the no-hit zone rule? I find it hard to find the right form for over the net hitting when you have to be further from the net

I always try to place the ball exactly where the setter placed the balls for Thais video. I always ask for people I play with to do the same but, most people place the 2nd hit exactly in the middle of the net, I feel there's no angle to hit from the middle.
@HOWTOROUNDNET5 жыл бұрын
hitting over the middle of the net takes patience.. really have to let the ball get low otherwise it will lip up, but you can use this form for youre ideal over the net hit as well. Doesn't have to be just directly over the center :)

Keep it up my man! Loving this content! Question: How close should we be getting to the net? Is it too risky? When you did your live-action example with the set-to-tap-to-set for the low hit, you had to jump around the net and if you were any closer could have accidentally hit it. For someone who's not pro level yet, how close is too close (especially for a beach player)
@jacksonpalmer89554 жыл бұрын
Not a pro, but Id say if you hit the net you should probably back up a little next time. I usually keep my toes a little outside the rim

Rookie here. It seems like setting right over the net wouldn't be the ideal set. You have less horizontal room to move the ball before it will miss the net making it hard to get those low shots. Can someone explain why I'm wrong? If that was confusing basically I'm saying it seems like you are forced to spike the ball downwards rather than across.
@HOWTOROUNDNET4 жыл бұрын
Jaden Birkner its a harder shot to hit yes.. but it increases the overall angles that you can hit. At the higher levels it’s not about power so much as it is placement.. When you are hitting a ball it’s less down than it is across when hitting.
@jadenbirkner25534 жыл бұрын
@@HOWTOROUNDNET Thanks for the reply! This has been bugging me forever. I've literally been trying this for hours and the ball always seem to come off higher than it should. When I decrease the angle, I end up missing the net altogether. Are you saying I shouldn't try to use too much power?
@HOWTOROUNDNET4 жыл бұрын
Jaden Birkner exactly learn to hit shots then increase power when comfy. And I’m not saying dink it super short.. but choose a good open spot and hit it 👌🏾

I'm not sold on having your feet under the net. Your last hit for example you started off the net a bit and then you were able to go get the set that wasn't perfect. I think if you set up with your feet under the net you are only going to be able to spike a nearly perfect set.

thats why this video is titled "How to hit a PERFECT set" :)
