This is so good at explaining! I’ve been playing for about 7 months now for my school and for a local travel team, and I have a friend who is joining my school’s team soon so I’ve been trying my best to teach her the basics as a head start before school begins again, but I’ve been trying to figure out the wording/ demonstrate it, this gives a clear visual and explanation on it!

So if the opposite team ballcarrier has been tackled and a ruck has formed, are you allowed to just grab the ball with your hands if your on your feet or not, I'm new sorry

Once the ruck is formed you cannot touch the ball until it is out of the ruck. So as shown in the video, if the ball is behind the person forming the ruck's foot, that means it is out. Or if there is no ruck, you can grab the ball. Hope that helps Lenny!

excuse me but i think in 1:52 man who goes into the ruck can go from the side because the man who lies on the ground is on broadwise i think he can go through his legs

Nah you gotta drive thru the ruck if not so that is an offside

As long as the ball is still underneath the man forming the ruck, the defender has to go through the ruck. However, if there is no man forming the ruck, you would be right. I can see why you'd think that though. :)

@@martinprikryl2471 he can go in across the legs yes but not from below the feet (outside of the ruck). Anywhere between head and feet because he is broadside as you stated. 👍🏻
