jre1.8.0_301\bin\java.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Edit: I ended up finding my problem if you get this error then use the other java version that was in that folder not 16 or the one you just used but the other one for me at first I used 301 but then I switched it to 311!

Try double checking the server jar file name. It should be named "forgerserver.jar". If it is not, change the name and try again.

Hello I might be a bit late for this but i have the next problem: When I install forge it creates the run.bat by itself and doesn't create any forge-bla-bla.jar, I havev alredy seen 4 different videos about this and in everyone of them all of them from diferent versions, including mine (1.20.1), work the same way but not in my PC. Anyone know how to uninstall all the files to start over again or how to fix the files, java or whatever it is?

Hey, to delete the files and start over just simply delete the server folder. Also, make sure you are using forge standalone and not the curse forge launcher.
