0:30 pace improvement every 3 weeks would bring my 8:30 pace 10k to a 6:00 pace over 5-7 training blocks (15-21 weeks), or 4-5 months, sounds realistic! I’m pumped. Ty for this video!

Hello from the UK. Just found your channel and I love it ! I ran 3:46 at New York in 2019 with not great training. Running Chicago this year and targeting 3:10. Big Jump?! Huge. Achievable ?! 100%.
@rundreamachieve

Big jump yes. Achievable? Absolutely.. pending everything goes right. The morning I ran 2.19.35 for the marathon? The day before my PR was a 2:40.02. Grant it..my PRs were 50:54 for 10 miles and 1:07:06 for the half-marathon...that being said, if you do the work and commit while tapering right there is no reason why going from 3:46 to 3:10 is not achievable. Chicago is a GREAT spot to go for the time too. Cheers from the US state of Indiana. Keep me posted on your progress.

Mile pr 5:40. 5k 19:15. I want to run 2:40:00 marthon one day coming back from gaining 35 lbs stop running 2 months. Back to 25 miles last week want to get back to 50 to 60 miles like this summer.
@rundreamachieve
@rundreamachieve 4 жыл бұрын
right on Derek. It certainly isn't impossible. Sub 2:40 is a very competitive time. The biggest step is having the willingness to put in the heavy work in order to get it. Most simply don't want to work long enough, not because they don't have the capability. Often times, it is just not focusing for long enough period of time. I look forward to hearing when you dip into the 2:30s range for the marathon

Hey, so I’ve been doing 3x800 meters for long runs and near the later laps I’ve been having to slow down my pace from jogging, to slow jogging or walking to maintain my HR. Is this fine?
@rundreamachieve
@rundreamachieve 9 ай бұрын
Totally fine, just watch running too fast too early in the workout and even out your effort a bit more, you are doing great. 💪💪💪
