In this video, I break down a Dominator sequence that I ran in an AUDL game. I go into detail about moves that I like to use and what I am seeing on the field. The 3 person dominator is becoming more and more popular in today's game and it can be a really useful tool for an offense to have.

Thanks! These videos are great :) A couple of suggestions: 1) In some recent video you mentioned running low on video ideas. One thought is that you don't need every video to cover a completely different concept. For example, I'd definitely watch more videos that are basically the same as this one (detailed breakdown of a dominator) and likewise with other "sequel" videos where you could show additional examples and variations on something you already made a video about. 2) Near the end of this video, an overlay shows up with a link to your channel and to another video, but it shows up a little early so it covers the last bit of your breakdown. I think most channels get around this by having an "end card" or other outro that provides several seconds of mostly-blank space so viewers can still use the overlay to find other videos but they also get to fully see the end of the current explanation.

Hey JBill, long time viewer first time caller. Just wanted to raise the point that 3 players positioned anywhere on a field not in a line will create a triangle. How do me and my teammates tell the good triangles from the bad triangles? Are all triangles created equal? And how do I enforce my teammates calling "isosceles" any time there's 2 equal angles in our triangle? I think it's the key to our success. Peace!

You jest, but I legitimately have had a hard time understanding how a dominator is different from just "three dudes who are good at frisbee running around" because I keep hearing it explained in terms of triangles

@@georgegunter1540 it works against three defenders who are good at frisbee though. It has a lot to do with the space opened up by having only 3 players. But it requires a lot of athleticism. You won't see the work effectively with your average low division rec player. Not to mention their lack of consistent throws.

Great video, Jack, keep up the great work! I was wondering if you could do a breakdown video on a poachy switch happy defense like Chicago Machine. It seems like they have a lot of blown coverages, but also a lot of turns created by chaos. Just wanted to know what your thoughts were on it, especially since Ring typically plays very strict man assignments when not in a zone. Another video idea is doing a video on some team practice drills that you think are most helpful. I know it's not really a film breakdown, but it could be interesting. I know my team has problems throwing to the break side and catching consistently. Once again, you're doing an awesome job with this channel.

Love the videos. You pointed out several defenders having poor positioning, I wonder if you could touch on what makes someone an effective handler defender.

So in other words, it's like a handler weave you see in college and high school (?) games, but starting way in the beginning as soon as the pull is dead.

The defense finding ways to switch handler defenders would help with the tired D exploited for the score here.
