How to run Docker image with AWS Lambda Functions | Create Lambda function with container image.

I'm having trouble building my docker image using "FROM public.ecr.aws/lambda/python:3.12". A dependency called safe-pysha3 throws the error command 'gcc' failed: No such file or directory. If I use "FROM python:3.12" it builds the image perfectly. Any suggestions?

OK I've figured out how to get the code working with just using "FROM python". Delete the event handler completely, it doesn't need it. It runs perfectly without it.

Only problem with this solution is that the lambda function always ends with an error because it needs a return from the handler to exit cleanly.
