If the owners of the HX99G (and variants) can manage to activate the iGPU, this would be a massive WIN for those devices! I'm not particularly fond of frame-gen, but decent looking scaling would be very nice IMO.

I'm glad it helped you out. It's crazy what this software can do when you know how to work with it.

Very Slick, I like it a lot. Offloading is key, such a good idea, as you said, have our cake and eat it too.

I'm planning to try this but with two discrete GPUs. Would I have to look for a motherboard with SLI support or is that not needed?

Tested on 4070 ti super, and i set the Lossless Scaling on the Integrated GPU. When i run it without LS i have around 100FPS on 1440p but when i activated LS with the integrated GPU it drops my performance to 48.
@ryanspencer67782 күн бұрын
@@TheLordOfWolves your integrated graphics aren't powerful enough for the resolution you're running, or the framerate you're targeting. You're either going to need to take the hit on the 4070ti, or go for a second graphics card. If your CPU is AMD 7000 or 9000, then the iGPU is only good for displaying an image, it's not strong enough for Lossless Scaling, even at 1080p probably. 12th generation through 14th generation might be good, but you'll really want an AMD APU or Core Ultra 200 series for best results if you want to use desktop integrated graphics. That's why I would usually recommend a second card for desktops. Laptops have powerful integrated graphics and typically lower resolution displays, so it makes more sense to use the iGPU on gaming laptops.

@ryanspencer6778 i have an i5 14600k. I agree that with 2 dedicated gpu's this should work but the power consumption would double, nice find 👍
@ryanspencer67782 күн бұрын
@@TheLordOfWolves the power draw doesn't have to double. You don't need two of the same card. Something like an RX 6400 ought to be able to work, depending on your resolution.

@ryanspencer677823 минут бұрын
@@ravenger2445 I heard about lossless scaling a couple years ago, probably on KZbin after the first frame generation version was released. As for the multi GPU thing, it's something I figured out independently, but other people have discovered it too.

This obviously won't help if the game is CPU bottlenecked at the settings you're using. If your GPU is running at 100% utilization while running the game then this is likely to help.
@ryanspencer67786 сағат бұрын
@@Malakin it can help with CPU bottlenecks, just not as much. Even in a CPU bound scenario, running the FG can overload the unutilized capability of the GPU if the resolution is high enough.
