The thing is, i cant navigate my hotbar very easily at all it only uses the trackpads which makes swtiching tools very very hard and makes pvp games practically impossible

Can you do a tutorial on how to run the budakai tenkaichi 4 mod on steam deck? Tried installing it but when I booted the game up, the screen went to the ps2 no disc detected screen

Did you add it to your Steam library? Sometimes you need to try quite a few different controller layouts before finding one that works. If all else fails, maybe try the Minecraft launcher process instead of prism. I linked to my video on that process at 0:26

Yes but unless you want to use a mouse and keyboard, you still need to add it to steam and choose a custom controller layout.
