Hey, I know this video was 3 months ago so sorry. But in expeditions and stuff I see people rune their Bastet with crit DMG and crit rate set runes (idr their name. Rage and? Blade?) I take it to help squeeze more DPS. So for example with Bastet if she's going for the Rage and blade, what should her 2,4,6 runes be? Since she has the stats from rage and blade, would you then make it HP% for her shield and still support, or do atk/crit? Also I can't figure out if the new rune set that gives you shield based on atk at the START is any good at all? Thanks in advance and sorry again!!!

Oh my gosh no need to apologize I’m glad new players are finding the game. Yes Rage is a rune set that increases Crit Damage and Blade increases Crit Rate. Both are best for Damage monsters. Buuuut I always say you can build ANYTHING on rage/blade. For Bastet her most important role (that runes can help with) is providing shields for the team. Those shields are based on her HP. So 246 should all be HP% and as much HP% in the sub-stats of the other slots (1,3,5). Come join our discord, link in the description and we can help you out in your journey. 😊

Great guide, i'd just add that in this game, having a more even stat distribution is resulting in having more combat power. So if you have trouble getting a certain PWR to be in the bonus range, you can put like more HP% or DEF% on a DPS unit !

they are in your rune inventory, a separate bag. Click your general bag icon, then click the rune icon at the top right near the X button.

I appreciate the rune guide for new players, only correction I see is slot 4 can roll attack% for a substat. Attack + can be good starting out but only for 3* monsters if good sub stats without good awakening 15 etc.

yea i made those notes in the pinned comments, it was a copy pasting issue and didn't catch it on the final edit run through. Yea the flat attack debate is still strong in rare cases but in most cases monsters will gain enough base stats in the mid game to make the flat stat runes no viable again. Barcode does a good job a letting F2P know which monster still can take advantage of those flat runes.

There is a couple things about substats that is incorrect , Slot 1 can NOT have deff nor deff% as substats, slot 3 can not have atk% nor atk as substat and slot 4 Can have atk% as substat, unless it is the main stat, the runes can not have as sub stats the same stat as their main stat

also, I just re read the rune description, when you add 4 despair runes it will show in the rune menu, under your monster, when the set is active and there is a description that reads"17% Chance of Stun with Skill Hit." Skill being the important distinction.

Pinned correction comment: 1. Slot one runes are not allowed to have defense percent. 2. A couple three star monsters, technically get more stats from flat runes, because of low base stats, but overall not a big deal. 3. If it’s a main stat that it can’t be a sub stat

* The main and sub properties that have already been gained cannot be gained again as a sub property * DEF and DEF (%) properties cannot be gained on Rune #1 * ATK and ATK (%) properties cannot be gained on Rune #3 as for the flat runes they very quickly fall off once you get book and awakening lvl, if i go from def% to flat def on crane, aka green bulldozer i lose 400 def just from one slot, and crane is only a10

@@joeythomas440 yea i mention the first part in the video, probably could of explained even more but eh people will figure it out. So I tested my bulldozer out today. Flat DEF on slots 2,4,6. He's max awakened, max DEF outfits, maxed account def skills and nearly maxed powers of ascension, and he did technically still get 2 DEF more from flat over DEF%. If I max out my Power of Ascension then DEF% becomes more valuable. Either way it seems to be a negligible difference and overwhelmingly % stats are better for 99% of monsters. let me know what your findings are

You can certainly build her like that, I’m only saying, a swift build is useful on her because she gets a lot of value from her basic attack. One of the few monsters who can use Swift builds.

i disagree on 1 part, flat stats on 2 and 6 can be better for 3 nats, even more so if you want to just stack hp for example, because you can't have hp% as sub on a hp% rune, but you can have it on a flat, giving way more if your monster is around 15k hp total at awakening 15

You raise a valid point with being able to stack the extra HP% in the substats. We’ve tested the flat stats on multiple 3 stars and for the most part we’ve found a negligible difference in stats, especially when you max awaken and get extra stats from all the other sources it begins to even out that deficit making % viable again.

@@kentlab3850 yea it's my understanding that outfit, account skills, book levels etc. would all go into the main base stat and therefore making % more valuable. But you are right early and mid game flat is definitely good on many 3 stars. Over all i don't think it makes a huge deal, but a great thought process to think upon.

Also another point to consider is that it offers more runes opportunities, it's rare to find good rune for 2 4 6, so flat ones can be used as a replacement if they have good subs, i got some very nice one, mainly a flat hp with 25% hp sub, beautiful rune

@@kentlab3850 Im glad you found some good runes. Yea i tested on my bulldozer and the difference was a couple points, others have tested on various other 3 stars and over all it certainly can be helpful on many 3 stars but in general most people will evolve past 3 stars fairly quickly.

I don't know if this helps but you can use the flat slot 2 or 6 runes for 3 star monsters because of their low base stats. Best example I can think of is fire Frankenstein he gets more defense if you give him the flat defense slot 2 or 6 rather than the def%

You are correct at early levels, but when you begin to fully awaken, craft outfits, insert gems, increase powers of ascension. You begin to add a lot of base stats to even those three star units. I tested my fire Frankenstein, not even maxed with all the extra places you can get Stats, and the difference was negligible. We’ve had this conversation with many people, with rare exceptions flat runes work early game, but endgame percent rune come back into play. I think for the most part, I said what I said in the video to not confuse people.

Im confused as to what exactly is the total amount of the stats when you look at the info of monsters. e.g. [ crit rate 33.5% (28.5%) ]. You'll see the right parenthesis in blue, so does the blue percentage indicate the stats added from the runes?

yes. if it was '33.5% (28.5%)'. Then your monster original stat was '(33.5% - 28.5%)=5%'.

Yes as they said above, its the white number to the left, the blue number is effected by a lot of different things, your can actually with the magnifying glass to the right of PWR number to see what is giving you power.

i'm still lost for Accuracy calculation. If your monster skill said '50% chance to xxx'. and my accuracy was 60%. is it.. 50% of 60% = 90% or 60% of 50% = 80%??

just think of it as 2 phases. if it meets the first phase(50% chance to xxx) then the 60% accuracy check comes to play to actually land the debuff
