Please keep in mind that certain breeds can scale or breech this type of fence VERY easily. I myself have been the victim of having a large loose dog enter my fenced yard with disastrous results. It is a horrifying situation. I would not leave my dogs unattended in any yard or enclosure, just to be on the safe side. Do you know of any manufacturer that sells this type fencing in a taller fence? I appreciate that in an RV you need to keep weight to a minimum and plastic is easier to handle, I would just feel more secure with a taller fence.. Do you have any trouble finding RV parks to accept more than 2 dogs? Do you often run across parks that charge a fee per pet per day?

Absolutely love it thank you for sharing your knowledge. Your man is an engineering expert in his own right! Normally I take the shorter black metal gates, carve a line in the dirt, just under the trailer… so that I can slide the shorter piece of metal gate in behind the stairway, then connect my taller gate at the end of the rig… continue my area set up. If you carve the whole in the dirt deep enough, it’s perfect as not to rub against the siding on your trailer or RV… Takes a little time, but I don’t have to cut. I also make sure to buy the wire fencing that has a door I can open and shut as I am an older lady I need to be able to walk in and out. That is an absolute awesome doorway you have installed. I think I may try that by using the post from the hardware store that can be hammered in to the ground and zip tying those to my metal doorways using the three bungees just to keep that gate shut in case someone decides to leave it open. It’s great thank you thank you.

We purchased an Airstream Nest & we have 3 dogs (Frenchie, Boston, & old 13 year old pit boxer dude) & i am an engineer, so i have been trying to figure out what to do to contain our fur kids when we were outside relaxing in our chairs. I don’t care much for the tie lines, mainly because you can’t count on having trees on your camp site lot. Plus, three dogs WILL get tangled up...A LOT! We will be ordering (2) 8 section units as well as (2) 2 section units, all in white. I like the metal rods being sank into the ground to give the fencing a decent sturdiness. What diameter size rods work?

Awesome information! Thank you for sharing! Just be careful guys - for all of you that have dogs that will NOT stop barking, please be considerate to your neighboring campers. There is nothing more grating to the nerves than even just one dog that will not stop barking and an owner that does nothing about it. Many people go camping for peace and tranquility and to get away from the stresses of this world and from their neighbors for a couple of days that have barking dogs at home. A few barks here and there is not a problem, but some people own dogs that will not stop. This does not make for a nice camping experience. We have 6 dogs and we are very considerate to others always making sure they are not a noise nuisance to others around us. And trust me, it's not easy to confront people about this, because nowadays so many, not everyone, but many are so easily offended. Peace and Love to you and yours! Glory and Praise be to God in the name of Jesus Christ!

Thank You! Great Video! I have a question. I want to put together the panels as a FENCE BETWEEN 2 houses that are 19 feet wide on asphalt to keep dog from running down the driveway. The dog has plenty of grass to roam on too. It looks like I can secure one end of the panel to a steel post. Can I attach the heavy metal plate to secure the other end of the panel to hold up the fence? The metal plate would stand next to the other house. Would this give enough support to hold up the fence? I have a small dog. If I wanted to make the door I would need 2 more heavy metal plates and attach to the panels. Would the fence hold up?
@jeannierodriquenz24496 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your answer. And yes a tutorial would be helpful.
@troystutsman14006 жыл бұрын
Jeannie Rodriquenz Could you attach the last metal pole to the side of the 2nd hose using metal clamps that are made for attaching a pole to something...? I believe that this would add the stability that you will need. Also, you will need to anchor the panels going across your driveway. I believe that the use of the metal ground plates, if heavy enough will work for this. I hope that this helps you. Have a great day and be blessed.

I think this is a great idea for many dogs and I like the way you set it up, but my husband can't figure out why you did it so you have to go out through a gate to leave.... as opposed to putting the fenced area off to one side. PLEASE! PLEASE! Don't drive a steel rod into the ground until you are sure where the utility's are located. In warmer climates and especially on private lands, such as RV parks. Hydro and water lines can be located inches below the surface. Driving a steel stake into a hydro line could be disastrous. Great video!! Just be cautious.

Do you think these panels would work for a mastiff?
@PawsToJourney2 жыл бұрын
I’d say it definitely depends on the dog. Mastiffs are quite large, and with enough force, I’m guessing they could be knocked over? It’s only a guess, as neither my Border Collie or my Shepherd mix have jumped on ours. We also use shepherds hooks along the outside to hang our solar lanterns and/or plants; which also provides extra stabilization.

I need to completely block off behind the steps,so far my attempts have not been successful! I have 2 small dogs that if I am outside of the fence will do about anything to escape!
@PawsToJourney3 жыл бұрын
We just used more of the same exercise pen to block ours off. Basically it's an entire circle of exercise pen gates, most lay against the side of the RV, but one panel had to be cut shorter to fit under the steps. However, I have seen people use lattice cut to size and use that block behind the steps.
