A very informative diagnosis. Thank you . Looking forward to see how her hoof changes on the next few trims.

Awesome vid! Can you come off the toe with your shoe and still have a leading edge in the shape? (Match the coronary band)

Yes, my goal is to always match the coronary band with the leading edge of the shoe shape, but the more I want to “set my shoe back” the more broad the toe of my shoe needs to be in order to drive nails safely. Thanks for the great question!

Good job 👍 would a rocker toe shoe would be as effective as setting the shoe back?

I’m more comfortable setting the shoe back, but I do use rocker toes when I have enough depth in the foot. Thanks for the comment!

Kill pen horses from the Amish always have long feet like this. I bought a standardbred with borium tacked on his shoes. 9-10 months since his last shoeing. You did a good job! Nice rocker on those toes
