you can also use audacity to record desktop audio which means i can open spotify and sample stuff from spotify etcetera - if it is what you wanna do, you're gonna have to mess around with audacity's audio settings as well as your pc's audio settings.

Yesterday I received a MOTU M2 after using a Focusite Saffire 6 USB for the last eight years. It has a loopback function which I didn't know about before. Now I can record everything that's coming out of my PC on the Mk3 as easy as I would record a mic! Probably in the near future my Maschine will run in sample mode all the time while watching movies or listenning to music, ready just to press the start button. 😁😁😁

This is quick and solid way to get a sample. But i recommend you to download Soulseek, free app for pc where people share their own vinyl collection and samples. But if you join in that community, you have to give back something so it is expected that you share back some albums and files.. peace and sorry for my eng, its not my native language

Just a suggestion, anyone using an mpc or any hardware with inputs, you can just spend like $10 and buy a "Y cord" at guitar center or any music shop or amazon, and you can just use the browser on your phone and sample with ease in a matter of seconds. That is what i do, i just sample directly from the KZbin app on my phone into the MPC. Never needed a record player or anything else.
