Good vid - quick question though. I’ve seen some vids that go to a 1000, 1500, 2000, and maybe even 3000 grit before buffing. What is the reason for doing that? Based on your vid, it doesn’t seem to be able to get any shinier, so why would some run all the way through the grits?Thanks again

How do you maintain the grinder and a lower speed mines a 8k and the wheels are only rated for 3200??
@gregbowen95465 жыл бұрын
You have to use verable speed buffing wheel. You can adjust rpm and trigger is adjustable. The more you pull trigger the faster it goes.

thanks for a great video. I have a question about the angle grinder he uses. all grinders I see turn 7-10k rpm, seems like hes modulating the throttle himself to keep it spinning
@KD-mm3li7 жыл бұрын
id say no cause the wheels are "rated" to only 3500 rpm. don't go past 6000 or the wheels may wear out faster.

There are several ways to polish Aluminum wheels (rims). Each one has it's positive and negative sides, however, at the end they are all somewhat equally shiny. What I am waiting for, for the last 30 plus years, is a method to keep them look nice for longer than just a few weeks. It seems to me that this is not possible. Not even Alcoa has managed the problem.
