Check out linear blocking tools. 24 inch flex would be perfect for that. I use nothing else now.

Wow! Wha a difference Black Diamond makes for a sanding job! Thanks My Friend Pete!

Totally agree with Pete on 80 grit …. It cuts well so the blocking is straight …. 150-180 …. A little clog on paper and it won’t cut evenly unless you change your paper out every 2 minutes !! That’s reality

Superb preparation. Rolls Royce would be proud.

Pete where do I get sand paper rolls. All I can find is the stander 14" it's. A rip off buying those small strips. And do we still use metal prep. I always used metal prep prior to any body work after stripping paint. Thanks Pete. You're not old school you are the keeper of professionals

Does this or any of your other videos go into detail on how you clean up the sanding dust between coats? Sweeping, vacuuming, any cleaners/wax removers, wet or dry wipe down etc before you spray the next coat of primer or base coat?

I was taught criss cross sanding. Round fenders are the hardest. Criss cross sanding is the only way I could get them perfect. P. S. What's the best penetration oil for bolt removal. I'm still old school wd40. Is there a better product. Love ya bro. Hope all is blessed. I ever get to mohab ille look you up. Sigh. Idaho Dan. Would love to send you pics. Of my 56 Bellaire.

Looks like a very good block... A bit pricey for me now at $200 maybe in the spring I'll pick up the two block set I have a lot of block sanding to do on my projects. Winter is my lean times.

Wish I would have heard of these before I bought my durablocks. On a side note I have a 63 c10 step/shortbed that was my father's. Been in my family since 1992. It came from Arizona originally a Texas truck. Wouldn't be interested in a restore job would you pete?

Do not use soft flexible blocks for bodywork those durablocks are made to block primer not body filler get a nonflexible long board to straighten filler out

How are you sanding the pink primer that bled through the paint now when you up loaded videos a month ago about how the pink primer ruined your car. It's obvious you had so much trouble with the pink primer bleeding through your paint just by seeing how gummy it was on the sand paper
