Do you take cold or hot shower with the sauna? Can I incorporate bath alongside sauna instead?
@JarppiOfFinland4 жыл бұрын
I usually take a somewhat cold shower to refresh myself but a bath is also a great alternative! 👍🏼

In one of the videos on the Practical Health channel, it was said that no food is recommended 2-3 hours before a sauna visit, during the visit, and 1-2 hours after the visit. So, it's 4-5 hours of no food intake. Is it really the case? Do people get hungry during this time?
@JarppiOfFinland2 жыл бұрын
I would recommend not to eat 1,5-1 hours before sauna but afterwards I think you're free to eat again. At least I've never felt bad due to eating right after sauna

@JarppiOfFinland3 жыл бұрын
If possible, my personal recommendation is to get a sauna that's heated with firewood 😉 then you have full control over the temperature and, most importantly, it feels better than electric stove sauna

Hi there and kiitos 😁 especially if you're having a sauna in the countryside then it's a good idea for example to roll in the snow naked. However, if your sauna is in a city then you shouldn't do that 😂 always consider your privacy before defying the nature

@@JarppiOfFinland My father's place was located country side, we called it Barrio. Nearby farm, He have corn, rice & Tobacco fields but its pretty scary while doing sauna theyre was snake hissing from somewhere 😂😂 Is that possible?
@JarppiOfFinland4 жыл бұрын
@@mariacriselda5902 Do you have a sauna there? 😅 I watched one of your videos and it looks like you shouldn't roll on the ground, especially if there are snakes. In Finland when we don't have snow we just go walking outside to cool off for a while, have a little conversation and then go back in the sauna. Of course you are free to do anything you want 😁 a good sauna experience depends on your own preferences

That's true. People must remember to hydrate as well, because sauna removes liquids from the body (due to sweating). However a beer is acceptable every now and then

Sauna bathing is fantastic, but I disagree with several things here. 1. 100 degrees C is too hot. Not enjoyable at all. 70-80 is suitable. 2. Fragrances in the löyly water is absolutely ridiculous and should be punishable with corporal punishments. 3. Drinking (not to mention eating) in the sauna runs counter to good sauna ethos. Possibly you can open a beer in your last round. But by no means in the first.
@JarppiOfFinland5 жыл бұрын
Great points there, Christer! Good to hear experiences from other sauna enthusiasts. By the way, as you can see in the video description, my personal favorite temperature for sauna is also 70-80 degrees. That gives the most comfortable löyly 😎
@zacharydummpfiff98375 жыл бұрын
There's no such thing as the ideal temperature. I, for instance, prefer 90 degrees. I also like a tiny amount of mountain pin fragrance in the löyly water. But do I agree with "no alcohol in the sauna".
@haudi47325 жыл бұрын
As an estonian I enjoy sauna at 110 °C and after sauna you either go roll in the cold snow or jump in the pool... 70-80 °C doesn't feel hot enough for me, and löyly water always needs a bit of flavouring.
@calbackk5 жыл бұрын
CaliovGO Go , Well, let’s agree to disagree then.
@koljkimm4 жыл бұрын
The temperature in sauna depends many different things and it is unique to each sauna. A moisture, air circulation, size etc. A small electric sauna can easy be at best in 70 to 80°C. Wood burning sauna pulls a fresh air from outside and keep it oxygen rich so it can feel good even over 100°C. A large military barracs sauna can be that 100°C and you can throw almost a bucket of water to the kiuas and the pure volume of the sauna ease the löyly to a soft wave.
