My advice for people buying camping gear for the first time is to invest where you can - and build from there. So get the best you can afford and it'll last (and in the long run be cheaper than rebuying cheap stuff year after year). Also you can build your equipment year on year - I didn't have a camping mattress for years and I made do, but when I did finally invest in one it definitely made a difference. Also buy/pack keeping in mind how you will travel - if you're taking public transport you will probably need to be a bit more savvy than if you're just jumping in a car. Also check poundland for super cheap stuff - often they have ponchos/cooking equipment there in the summer.

Great advice! Having stuff that lasts is so much better in the long run, and saves so much stress knowing that you're all good to go

Looking to buy that solar powerbank for Leeds festival. Reckon it would do two people over the full 3 days 🤔 or should I just buy two of them? Great videos, keep it up!

If you make sure it's fully charged before the festival, based on the reviews then one should be perfect for you. Just remember that the more you charge it back up again, the less charge it has each time. Thanks for watching 😊

Just subbed, I’ve never been to a festival and would love too, one day. I don’t have any friends who are in to the same music as myself. I would love to go download or Woodstock one day. But I couldn’t go by myself as I do suffer from anxiety, therefore I would be apprehensive about asking questions.

the beauty of fests like Download and Bloodstock is that if you just look like you are struggling someone will offer to help you

Thanks for subbing! Download has a great community, and there's even a group called Camp Loner, for people who go on their own. Everyone is super friendly and will definitely help anyone who needs it!

Hi Matt - just checking what the SCFC is standing for on your user? I may be in a local position to discuss.

I'm trying some Vans SK8-Hi DX MTE boots this year, got them off ebay for £30 used but in good condition, have tested them in the woods for the day, they're waterproof, comfortable and insulated and look good, so keep your feet dry and warm, will see how they do at the Donington walking festival and update this😉

It may as well be the Donington Walking Festival 😂. Hopefully the boots won't be tested too much by the weather

Hi bud, I wanna get the 500,000 mAh charger, have you had this before to confidently say it’ll last all weekend? Or was it a quick google search? There’s some on eBay for £15 for the same thing but am dubious, where did you get the resource from cos I’d need to order a good one as my Iphone is trash for battery. Thanks

Just had a look back through my notes, we found it at: gear-tech.co.uk/products/500000mah-solar-charger-waterproof-power-bank-external?variant=39388731703344¤cy=GBP&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0MexBhD3ARIsAEI3WHIzlOQEU3wVmq2WAJoe2EdDzOTa7vyJwWJ-sofS7jQE-D3im9d6OisaAsW3EALw_wcB It's a reputable source, with over 100 great reviews saying that it's durable and does the job. Power banks tend to last less and less each time they're re-charged, so if someone is selling it for that price on eBay, maybe theirs is an older one that doesn't last as long anymore. Depending on your budget, if you're wanting to go for this item I'd say invest in the one from the company, and then you get the most amount of life out of it, and you know that you're covered by the warranty if anything is wrong with it. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed 😊
