Whatever happened in your story? I can relate. I missed all the signs. I made myself the victim. I destroyed emotional security. She’s in self preservation and doesn’t believe I can change. And now I have no way to demonstrate any of the steps I’ve taken. I hope you were able to make it work out.

I can appreciate the idea that you need to make changes and communicate and have trust, and I simply don’t believe that anyone but that person can change their mind. You simply have no control over what another person thinks or does, which is the frustrating part. With that said, you could actually make the changes, but if they don’t want to believe it, they simply won’t. Will is a powerful thing and a man or woman who wants to think something of you will continue to think that no matter what you do. The proverb goes like this: a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still

What I have realised about most of Geoffrey's theories about how you should treat your partner from an inner good intention independent of the other person's response, this basically what Jesus encourages us to do in the Bible. To respond from a place of love even when faced with negativity.

There’s a divorce looming over my head as we are separated now for 5 weeks..we are spending time, but it’s all small talk and nothing personal as I don’t want to go there yet even though I’m in limbo. 22 years of marriage and we are now strangers…she said exactly what you said, she tried and is tired

It feels like limited contact was the low hanging fruit on examples to demonstrate change. If someone blocked you and said leave them alone and your inner don’t overlap you have more limited options. I understand what I have to do. And where my past behaviors caused her to go into self-preservation. But if you don’t have an opportunity to get shut down it’s challenging to show you’re different.

Geoffrey, need help. wife and i been married for 12 years. 2 weeks ago we had an intense argument. she said that's all the patience she had left. she said i broke the last bit of love she had for me and now needs to leave (divorce) to heal and care for herself. i managed to convinced (beg) her to stay. she said she'll try to see if she can feel true love for me again but doesn't guarantee its gonna happen. i asked her how long? she said "i dont know". but sometimes i feel she's not trying. she avoids me, doens't talk to me. i'm afraid for the worst :(

I keep trying to respect her decision to move on and they stop contacting her then boom she starts contacting me and I can’t let go and just ignore her so we’re still in this limbo state. The one thing I would say is for me I have to, and I am working on controlling my anxiety and control. I tend to explode a bit when I don’t have a direction or an answer and that’s set off my anxiety, so just wu wei stay calm and go with it

It's not that refuses to talk to me she just ignores relationship question and I don't have the right process to approach her on it, she stonewalls even small question regarding how her days was or how work was, or anything having to do with me asking her how she is, we've been separated 6 months and I've really been working on building those inner qualities Geoffrey talks about in his videos and trying to break through but she'll just ignore the personal questions, however if I don't reach out she reaches out and through this time we have been intimate and she has told me that sometimes she still thinks about me and our family and that i probably view her as being cold which innerly i do but I don't want to bñame character there's something that i haven't understood yet that I'd keeping her from commiting to me again, but as she resists I persist

Hey Geoffrey this is Joseph quesenberry I am going through this situation as we speak! We talk to each other but it’s very limited and she doesn’t sound happy when we talk it’s just bland and not fun! I work out of state and I am gone for months at a time! She has told me that I’m trying to text her or call her to much and as much as I understand this I still have trouble holding back from messaging her! We have been together for 7 years and we just recently 6 months ago split up for a while now we are trying to get back together but I think I’m pushing her away even more! We actually live together and have bills together but not married so it’s tough for me to just stop talking to her! What can I do to change myself?

Furthermore, this curriculum indicates that you as the man is the only one who needs to change. Is it at all possible that the woman needs to do some growing? Is it possible that she is reverting to bad behaviors simply because she will not do the work and go through the hard conversations to experience that growth? I would really like to hear about where you are on this, because we all have places we need to grow and it is not always the man’s fault that she is running away. It may just be something she does any time she is confronted with something that needs to change for her greatest and highest good.

No, you're absolutely right about that. Same as them, though, the best you _can_ do is work on yourself, because expecting anyone else to grow and change is a pointless fixation. If that's a dealbreaker for you, the question becomes whether or not it's worth it to you to have that woman in your life.

@GeoffreySetiawan
@GeoffreySetiawan 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Brian Stoops, I have many videos that talk about this situation. I will link one below and will remind you that your focus should be on building you best product, the actual changes themselves. Take me for example I know my content is miles beyond any other on YT yet I have a low subscriber level. But I know my if I focus on my product, my program, if I make it freaking awesome that the applications will always come. I enroll nearly 1500 clients a year and a small portion of who applies actually get extended an invitation to join. This is again is because I work on building an irreplaceable product and not about the marketing. I teach my clients to take the same approach. Make the changes so massive and so permanent that your partner has to see them eventually. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJ65Zqt4hpaXq80

Start off by changing your routine. Do new beneficial things. Read books, go outside, be apart of a community. Just change of routine is good to start with. It’s not easy but if you want to change then that’s a good way to start.

How are you building conversations out of "thin air"? Admitted fault, doors been left open. Haven't spoken in three weeks, in no way shape or form am trying to rush, push, be needy. Is no time frame for growth. Just curious what really creating conversations out of thin air means when you aren't supposed to be pushy or needy, doors already been left open.

Feel free to watch my interviews with Michael, Eve, or Scott. We talk about dealing with stonewalling and resistance a lot in those interviews. "Is no time frame for growth." - That's precisely the type of thinking that leads you to twist and bend what I am saying to fit what you want to hear. You sound like you really hate your partner. Well, logically, if you stop speaking then you won't be talking over one another. How about listening to her and maybe parphrasing, sth like "you sound really hurt and angry and I understand that you are tired of reapeting the same/feel like I don't listem to you... Etc". A bit to much like walk on egg shells kiss there ass a lot ..and hope she doesnt find somebody else while you doing all the work to save the relationship.. Good insight but the approach is as if men are the problem Without adding in the toxic nature of modern women. And there role in the failure of that relationship..ghosting ignoring stonewalling are immature childish reactions ..a lot of the time we never understand the true issue she is having because we cant mind read. And life has us busy...it takes two folks to make it work ..but only one to break it..success stories are usually from the rare woman that actually works with you constructively..
