My mother fasted for a whole year for her health but also for me to leave an evil lifestyle. She lost so much weight. And I returned to the Catholic Church, not knowing her fasting was for my soul.

Hi, I would love to share how Jesus is fasting in me, right now. I started fasting on Fridays, since May because I asked Mary to give that grace, and she did. Then I was trying to fast on Wedenesdays as well, as our Mother asks us in Medjugorje..but Wednesdays was not possible for me, fasting on Fridays was the "best" I could do, so I kept asking for help, w/o results, or so I thought. 3 weeks ago, a friend sent me a video of Padre Claudio Barbut giving his testimony about how he fasted 40 days on bread and water, on how he prayed for his dead relatives and how he got much closer to God. I KNEW I HAD TO DO IT, the big secret is to invite Jesus to fast in me, with me, and I have to say I´ve been fasting on bread and water for the past 19 days. I LOVE food, my love for food was not proper, if I can do it, if a person like me can let Jesus do the fasting, everybody can do it, ask for the grace.

I am in tears right now with a mix of emotions dealing with the joy of what you are saying but fear that I cannot ever be the person God calls me to be. I’m wanting to be a better Catholic than I was raised to be and do that for my family but I’m doing it all by myself. My husband barely believes (he believes what he wants to) and my children are seeing my conversion as strange and culty. Plus I’m postpartum so emotional, overwhelmed and over stimulated. Please pray for me and my family

I know that feeling, i had vision of mother Mary in 1987, that shook my life and turned me around, to see such a wonderful Mother as Mary in my room in the flesh stunned me so deeply, She is a devoted Mother that i did feel from Mary, i was asked to get people back to Her Son Jesus, and made a promise that night that i would do that, She held out Her hand toward me and beams of light came from Her hands and Heart towards my heart, i broke out in tears like a river, it was tears of pure joy and happiness all at once, I had never felt a love like that in my life, so after that short time with Mother Mary, i began to tell my loved ones, my living mother, my brothers and sisters, my ex wife at that time and my own children about what happened that night, i didn't expect what to be told that i was off my head, and needed medical help, i was crazy, everyone didn't want to know me after that, and kept their distance from me and didn't want to know that foolishness about Mother Mary, after many years later my own mother passed away, and my brothers and sisters went their own way, and my wife found someone else and we part too, for 30 odd years i been walking alone from that night with Mother Mary, but i am not alone for the love that Mary gave me is where it belongs, in my heart, sometime we walk a lonely path in life so we can pray for others, never give in and please don't give in, God Bless.

None of our sufferings or sacrifices need ever be wasted. All we have to do is pray a "Morning Offering": "O my Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer Thee all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for all the intentions of Thy Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in reparation for my sins, in thanksgiving for blessings received, for the conversion and salvation of souls (including ______), for (name other intentions), and for the intentions of the Holy Father, the Pope. Had success. I'm hoping for success again today. I am praying for conversion for my son, his father and someone at work whom I don't really like. Hi, I'm Paul from Belgium and years ago I was visiting a synagogue. One of my friends asked the guide about the hail of people. How Jews were seeing the salvation. The guide answered. We Jews see salvation for many non Jews by the suffering for the world. I thought that this look a lot like the Christian faith and that we also can offer our pain and suffer for saving our soul and even many souls.

Men, consider making an Exodus 90 journey with a fraternity of brothers. You will experience the freedom and fruits of rigerous fasting, prayer and fraternity. Thanks ladies for this great talk on the powers of prayer, fasting and wasting no sacrifice. Through 2 Exodus journeys, I have learned that my fasting looks different at different times. What I love the most can easily be replaced with some other worldly thing, so changing it up (alchohol, TV, sweets, take cold showers) keeps me on my toes so as to not just find the next routine comfort. Not that I look for suffering and prevent myself from enjoying God's gifts, but rather asking myself what sacrifice will mean the most this day, week, month...

Thank you for posting this. I pray every day for my children and family. I stepped away from the church for over 20 years and came back 13 years ago. I was going to a Lutheran church which my daughter was confirmed and married in. She is stubborn so talking doesn't work. My son gave me such a hard time about being confirmed (Catholic), that's when I decided not to go to church. Few years later I took her to the Lutheran church. Long story short, my son doesn't go to church. Prayer is all I got but I'll try these additional methods.

This is my favourite video from the two of you. Lots and lots of wisdom. One thing, though, we shouldn't put emphasis on our feelings to confirm that we are sure of something. God speaks to the will and the intellect. Indeed, feelings may be a derivative at times, but we mustn't focus them. Kendra, you are delightful but you talk about feelings a lot and that sometimes deters me from listening to these videos on Queen of Peace. This video was very much about faith, reason, and knowledge and it has helped to increase my hope and trust in Jesus. God bless you both.

Very informative. We all need to trust those needs to be saved to Jesus, because no one has a stronger desire to see those individuals saved then Jesus himself. And, we need to be people of prayer. There has been something being laid on me to pray about and I ask others to pray for this as well. Please pray for the families of the three families of the fishermen murdered in Florida, and pray extra strongly for Brandon's Father who responded to his son phone call begging his Dad help and things was beyond his Dad control,he did all he could do but I have been having a strong feeling his Dad is really struggling with not being able to have saved his Son life.Brandon's funeral is Saturday July 25 in the morning his family needs surrounded with us praying.
