How to say “okay” in Chinese?
1.好的
Chinese people use a lot “好的” to show that they agree with something. For instance,
- Shall we meet tomorrow 9:00?
- Sure!
- 我们明天9点见面吧？
- 好的！
- Wǒmen míngtiān jiǔ diǎn jiànmiàn ba?
- Hǎo de!
Or
- Feel free to let me know any questions about this document.
- Okay.
- 关于这个文件，有任何问题随时问我。
- 好的。
- Guānyú zhè ge wénjiàn，yǒu rènhé wèntí suíshí wèn wǒ。
- Hǎo de.
2.行xíng
行is the alternative way to say “好的”, you probably have heard it a lot from the native speakers. For instance,
- Just tell him that I would like to talk to him.
- Okay.
-就告诉他我想跟他谈谈。
-行。
-Jiù gàosu tā wǒ xiǎng gēn tā tántan.
-Xíng.
In the same way, when you want to say "Okay?" to ask for permission, in Chinese, you can use 好吗？Or 行吗 ?
