I'd been struggling so much trying to figure out the difference between "t" and "th," both in terms of saying them and hearing them, but this video really completed my understanding on the topic. The direct comparisons between words with "t" and "th" beginnings might have been the best part of the video. It seems like it would be the obvious thing to do to help people learn the difference but I don't remember any video doing this for the viewer. If any videos did, they most certainly did not give the amount of examples you did. That was an invaluable section for me to just go back and listen to over and over. I think the comparison between pronouncing words with a Vietnamese "t" and "th" vs. their English counterparts was also a very big help. Very smart inclusion! I ended up watching most of your other videos after this one and found a lot of helpful pronunciation tips. Now, after maybe a month or so of almost only studying pronunciation, I understand how to make almost every sound that the Vietnamese language has, at least in isolation. And now that I understand Vietnamese pronunciation so well, I've found that studying absolutely everything else about Vietnamese has become easier. As a Vietnamese person who was never taught the language growing up, I've finally decided to learn the language and your channel helped me clear perhaps the most major hurdle in the process. Thanks so much, particularly for this video! This was the video that brought me to your channel and I've returned to it to leave this comment because, personally, I think this video is the best one you've made. I'm sure every topic in teaching Vietnamese requires a slightly different approach, but I think this video had some perfectly executed ideas that should be part of a "gold standard" for pronunciation videos not just for you, but for all of KZbin, really. Thanks again!
