After 2 years of playing this game and getting overwhelmed by the "guides" that take 20 minutes and end up explaining nothing. You've made it so easy to understand. God bless you m8!

Another way to power up scaled up parts is to build them on top of a cuboid room. When you power up a cuboid room anything attached to it will also power up. I typically start with a cuboid room, placed directly on the ground. Then I snap another one directly underneath that one. I put a door on the upper one and go down and clean the lower one out with my terrain manipulator. I then fill that lower room with batteries and solar panels. Alternatively, you can just connect it to base power if you already have that in place. I jump back out and exit the upper room, and then delete it. It won’t matter that the solar panels are underground, they work regardless of where you put them. What I’m left with is a subterranean power cell with its roof exposed at ground level. Anything you try to snap to that room is gonna want to land on the floor, but you can glitch objects directly onto that roof as long as the connector is on that surface when you hit your button combo.

I had tried watching other videos and just couldn't get it but this on made sense without over explaining things, thank you!

Finally someone explained it normally and shows it directly on PC and not just PS or Xbox. Thanks 👍

I manage to get the door, the canvas is in place and when I try to wire from my power source, it just simply won’t do a thing…how precise do you have to be with the wire placement? Does this still work even?
@systemdek16 ай бұрын
It is possible to draw power from an enlarged electromagnetic generator. It is also possible to put wires to enlarged objects like solar panels, power doors and base teleports without leaving a collision spacing item in front of the connector.
@AlexDahFoxАй бұрын
how can i connect an electromagnetic gen?
@systemdek1Ай бұрын
@AlexDahFox The first thing is to know why you can't. When resizing an object with connectors, the wire connector lock points get lost. Now this would not be a problem if the lock points coincided with the collision box for the objects, but this is not the case. Some are set out further than the collision box, amd others are set deep inside. For connections further out, I use objects that stand on the floor and don't rotate orientation when placed on a wall. I then line up the centre of all the rotation lines for that object, then turn the base outwards in line, and reverse back to a wire. Because the placement point is a little further out than from the collision point it places the wire a little out too. For enlarged objects with connection points set inside the collision box (like the electromagnetic generator), simply rotate the base of the object you are trying with so the base is towards it. Then reverse back to a wire when placing (when in free placement and green stated). Note by toggling free placement off and on you can see your rotation is correct when on and green stated, or look through the red stated transparent object, to check alignment of the objects base with the power socket. BTW a standard size Flarecap Toadstool works with a fully enlarged EM generator. Just bear in mind the stalk bends slightly to the left. Although I have found distance is more critical than alignment. 🙂

will this work on a mud hut? i want to make a giant one :P i know you can scale it by itself but i need it to be bigger
@SpaceandstuffNMS2 ай бұрын
Yes, it does! I have just tried it, here's the result: imgur.com/gallery/big-mud-hut-no-mans-sky-9GA9pJm I used the wire glitch method. Very cool. It's an instant base lol.

I don't think this works on Xbox or atleast doesn't work 5 mo later. Idk though tried it exactly as you said and instead of keeping it tiny it sized it back up to normal 😔

It is Drogradur, the old capital planet of the Galactic Hub. However, after the Worlds 1 update, it got... ermmm... nuked. The weather, planets etc changed. If you'd like to check it out, here's the coords: 042F:0078:0D56:001B

I wish they'd just make this a feature. I can get the wires thin but just can't get anything to resize, not any fault with the tutorial, I'm just so confused🥲😂 does it work with storage containers? making them smaller I mean
@AustinAirCo3 ай бұрын
yeah it's hard to get down, practice, practice, practice. You should be able to resize storage containers. My biggest problem is placement as I can't always for some reason get to work, then when I do I say how did I do that? lol. I think that's why they call it a *glitch*
