Aj isn't about scamming. It's about learning, trading, and making people happy. When you grow older, and realize how many rares you've scammed from little kids, you'll feel at least a small amount of guilt. I did. I now give away rare long spiked collars when i get the chance, and people almost always thank you for it. I recently gave out a green long collar. You don't earn any reward apart from happiness, and that's the reason i do it. It's devastating being scammed out of your favourite item. I once had a cami's frog, and it was scammed. In a six year old's mind, `promises` couldn't be broken at all. I was wrong. POOF went the item, and i was locked out. If you plan on scamming for a video, or a prank, PLEASE give the items back. People have worked very hard for them. I once spent about 2 hours on an adventure, i got a yellow long, and the next morning woke to my `friend` had deleted it. Don't share your info, and remember. Imagine how crushed I was when I lost a RIM HD, a black short, and many other rares to a scammer. I just got REALLY lucky on the forgotten desert and didn't really know my rares at the time. The HD was probably worth WAAAY more than what they had on trade. I was fairly new on animal jam too, and this was back when where people could accept your trade very quickly, and you couldn't think twice about it. I was never scammed again, but I quit Aj for at LEAST half a year. This is why you should NEVER trust a giveaway. Here are a few CLEAR signs of a scam: The person's account is PRETTY new and non member, they have a member "accomplice" who says they are trustworthy, the items are "too good to be true", like a black long, a headdress, etc. A few good ways to tell if an account is new if they don't have many achievements, are dressed in store bought items, or have a clear or barely furnished den with store bought items. Here are just a few tips from a fairly seasoned player. :D Edit: I'm not saying to avoid giveaways on animal jam in every way possible, I'm just telling you what's a scam and what may be legit. BUT if someone doesn't seem like a scam, that doesn't mean they aren't. Most REAL giveaways don't involve trust and may be buddy games or even whoever can type a phrase first or a fashion show. I wish whoever has read this much of this comment the best of luck on AJ! :)

My sis & I used to scam. We thought is was easy, & didn’t take that long. Eventually my sister got more & more greedy & didn’t want me to help anymore because she wanted it all for herself. She had stopped for a while, then she eventually traded up to a headdress. It was her dream item & she was super happy! But soon her old habit of scamming came back & she ended up taking a headdress. She traded it away for goods & soon I stopped helping her scam. It was bad, & it wasn’t good for us to be stealing so much, especially at a young age. Instead she would get new friends who scammed too, & they helped her. Once she had enough, she was playing around & went to a giveaway. Her headdress got scammed & she knew how it felt. She did scam more afterwards, but now she has stopped, now we both like to do real giveaways with a wheel, & it feels way better afterwards! No guilt, & no undying greed. Here’s a story of how I got scammed and lost my double tail: So it’s honestly a really stupid scam and it’s really easy to avoid it. I went to someone’s fashion show at their den, and I won. The person told me to put a plushie on my list, so I did. Then, instead of trading the prize for my plushie, they traded it for my double tail that was also on my list. So, me being me, I glanced at the ‘prize’ (it was some stupid item) and accepted. AT THE LAST FREAKING MOMENT I REALIZED WHAT I HAD DONE. I traded my double tail away for a trash clothing item. The scammer had manipulated me into thinking I was trading my plushie but NOPE 🙃. Anyways so they went offline immediately after that, and I was left there feeling so freakin stupid. :p Moral of the story, check what item you are trading before accepting. P. S. I used this scam on someone else after that 😈; it is affective only about half the time tho so :p

Why do people like to scam? Scamming doesn't make you any happier. Scammers will realize soon that what they do is wrong, but its probably too late. People already know the scammer and maybe told someone else about it.. I really thought this was a prank or something. Wow. If you wanted to scam anyways, why would you wanna record this? Poor people who got scammed. I wish I had Aj Classic to gift them.. I got scammed once. I was in the arctic wolf cave. I saw this person saying that she's doing trust and whoever trade trust the highest items will get her forest and blackout. She was wearing those. I wanted those so badly, so I traded all of my good items. Then, she said that I'm first. But then she went to her trade list to PRETEND she was trading. I saw the bubble, I thought she was really trading. When she got off the 'trade', she said that Wolfie was first. I searched for the user in where I was, and I didn't see the username. I thought she left. The first time I traded her, she traded back. But when I saw the fake user (Wolfie) winning, I traded again and I traded my glider, hypno glasses, dizzy stars, double tail, etc. Then I thought she would trade back. I was wrong. She went. Someone saw it. She was very nice. She said she would buy anything from the sapphire shop for me and traded the item I wanted. She really did that. I hope you will stop doing these things (scamming and hacking), and also next time, when you look back at these videos, you'll realize that what you did is wrong. Bye guys, stay safe. I really hate scamming. I have done it before. I scammed life a unicorn horn and aura stone crown xd but I think that rlly not scamming. But when I was on my account misstulippbunny ( my account that I always cry when I see the name bc it got hacked and I can’t log in) I said, go to my den if you are wondering what some items are worth. A girl went to my den. I really didn’t know what was fair for those items and I said that the person can accept or decline. I might hv scammed a sapphire den item...but when her buddy came I sorta got busted. So I left and I was really devastated of my actions but...I never saw that person again. I guess my consequence was “get my account basically hacked” but it’s probably hacked because I once said “come to my den if you want to hack me!” And 2 people went to my den. I told them my pass was dragon land or something. It was fake. But I somehow still got hacked! I think it’s bc of that. I really regret it. I cry every time I see the name unexpectedly :( when I FIRST found out it was hacked was when I was logging in. I was in my moms room on my moms iPad. I noticed that it said “sorry, we can’t find a username and password matching that blah blah.” That was REALLY devastating. Including my great grandma’s funeral....but I’m fine. Though, I guess my grandpa is alone but people visit him. I’m just glad that I have realized all my mistakes and never doing it again. And I also will treasure my account and my great grandma in my heart.💙💙

So, I'm mainly on ajpw so I didn't know most scams on ajpc. I was in jamaa trying to trade. I had been scammed in a cross trade about a week or so prior, and someone was generous and gifted me an orange long. Because I didn't know most scams, someone was calling for a giveaway. I asked if it was trust, they said no. (It turned out to be flash/ accept first decline second) me and a couple others were there. They scammed someone before me but I thought they just left by accident. I did my orange long and purple neon long and I didn't decline fast enough... I cried for so long but Iw as angry. I feel bad, but then I started scamming. I didn't scam, I helped a scam. I feel super bad now and wish I had never done it :(
