Ah for cold pressed papers, since they have more texture than hot pressed, do you have any suggestion to minimilize the texture when scanned?
@AlbertoAmoni3 жыл бұрын
Well if you are freedrawing the cut line in photoshop. . . I guess you could use the brush tool in illustrator to free draw the cut line there aswell haha. Just click b, make a brushstroke and to make one continuous line over several small brushstrokes just select the line again (either V+click over it or ctrl + click over it) after every brush stroke. Do make sure that the start of your next brushstroke begins at the end of your line, its important that you touch it otherwise it starts another line altogether. Done correctly you won´t have to connect several pieces to make the final line. Just my two cents here haha

I suggest, when you're resizing images, make them a smart object first, it conserves the quality while you decide how big you want them to be/rotate them, although you are working at 600 dpi :) It keeps the image crisp, unless you like the slightly more fuzzy aesthetic.
@CosmicSpectrumArt4 жыл бұрын
Hmmm maybe I should try that. Doesn't the quality only degrade when you try to make the image bigger though? O: I'm not sure exactly how these things work haha, but the printed stickers are super crisp. I know they look slightly fuzzy in some shots, but they're clear when you stick them on a solid white paper (there's some transparency) :D
@GPhoenix084 жыл бұрын
@@CosmicSpectrumArt You're working at 600 dpi so this tip might not really do much for you, because you have so much detail as it is, now that I come to think of it. Supposedly, using smart objects, when you make a big image small and then make it bigger again it shouldn't degrade as much as doing it without it being a smart object. I guess you can only see if it makes any difference to you by trying it yourself. The effect is more noticeable when working with smaller image sizes. Anyway, was just a tip, you're doing great as you are doing things currently. The stickers are gorgeous!

Just at 4:18 BUT I have this huge ass-butt of a Canon scanner-printer. When I start scanning I get a box on the bottom of the settings before scanning going "Scan page as separate images" - because the preview shows it will scan every single item on the page as a separate file. I just uncheck that and it scans the entire page without splitting it.

You can make a video about the music you listen to or show them on your Instagram since people get bored with their music easily and I think that people would like to hear the songs of their idol artist

This doesnt really have to do anything with the video, but if you read this I have a question for you as an (experienced) artist, since you gathered artistic skills, experience and surely emotions for a lot of years. So the thing is, i usually get bored really easily with things: series, games, hobbies, even with people And since i started doing art kind of seriously i was always wondering if this spark would ever completely fade. Now looking at you talking in some of your videos excitedly about your characters or saying that you "drew for yourself" makes me wonder Did you ever feel your love for art fade, the way one could feel about e.g. dancing or other sports? I don't know if i'm the only one scared of this happening. But except for art blocks that are limited to a certain period of time and have a specific reason, i haven't seen anyone talk about this yet. And since you've said you are doing art for more than a decade, your turn on this would be really interesting to me. If you don't have the time to respond or read this it's totally fine as well, i see that you're a busy person Anyway i wish you all the best and keep up the good work, i'm really always looking forward to your videos & art

That's actually a really interesting question! So, I'm 30 now and I've been drawing obsessively since I was about 11 or so, technically earlier, but at 11 I started drawing way more than I did before. So it's been almost 19 years; I never thought about the possibility of my interest in making art fading, but I did worry about losing interest in my stories/characters. I had some reoccurring worries between 20-25+. Basically ever since I put my first comic into printed format at 20, I wanted to re-write it but I always felt like I wasn't ready and life wasn't letting me, so my anxiety was that before I get around to writing it my interest will fade, and the thought of this was extremely distressing. Now at 30 I still have the same level of interest, if anything it has only grown in all these years, so I'm not longer concerned about that. I've struggled with depression for a long time as well, and tbh art has been the most effective therapeutic activity. It probably varies from person to person, but my sustained interests through life revolve around psychology, relationships and narrative, so naturally writing is interesting to me and I don't think that will ever change. It's a personality type inclination. As for art, tbh I was always good at it and I never felt like I 'chose' to pursue it, it was just always going to be my main activity. I know this may sound odd, but I always felt like I was just born to do this.
@whiterose19734 жыл бұрын
@@CosmicSpectrumArt oh thank you for taking your time to answer my question And idk if this sounds weird but the fact that through all of your hardships, you still find peace and love in art, that has even grown is really relieving to me. I guess you're right, it will differ from person to person but i hope it will be the same for me
@CosmicSpectrumArt4 жыл бұрын
@@whiterose1973 I hope so! I think if you choose to focus on the positive aspects of art and try to retain a childish wonder and appreciation of your creations. there's no reason for the spark to go away. You can't always keep the exact same attitude going, but i think it's important o remind yourself just how cool it is to be able to create anything at all. I was once in a horribly low and dark place mentally for many months, losing my identity and unable to get a grip on where my life was headed. During that time, looking at my old art was one of the only reassuring things to me, because it was such a direct window into my past accomplishments and things I loved to see and create, I think that really helped me retain a sense of self and eventually get back on track again. You should always take pleasure in the fruits of your labour :)) And instead of ' i want to improve' you should think "i want to make my art even more beautiful' hahah.
