bronny needs to gain confidence. In these parts of his game. Shooting and dribbling. He needs to be able to handle the ball at a good enough level to get his own shot (consistently) if the offense breaks down or if the offense demands it.
@derekhayter4879
@derekhayter4879 Ай бұрын
Not confidence. He needs high basketball IQ. - he doesnt set his feet on defense - lazy effort on sprinting back on defense - too much gamble on steals - doesn't know when to cut to the basketball - doesn't know how to pass the damn ball with tunnel vision - cannot read the opposing defense - dribbles too much and kills off the momentum when his teammates are actually open for just a second or two

Been saying bronny modeled his game after the wrong player (his dad) at some point they should’ve seen he won’t grow to 6’7 so from there you have to model his game around guys his size , Kyrie for offensive intimidation and scoring, CP3 for pace and poise and control and also offensive threat from the pick and roll, Westbrook for physical style and pressure on the defense even add Andre miller in there.

Couldn't that last play be a lob to Bronny? If there was more chemistry it probably would have been one. The defender in the paint was small and probably wouldn't have been able to jump with him. Your point still stands, though.

He has upside and obviously rookies are gonna make a ton of mistakes but he has to get aggressive on offense if you take a good look and miss thats still a high percentage look and the more you take the easier theyll fall and it opens the rest of the offense. Look at a guy like steph he may have a bad shooting game but you still cant let him get to his offense because of the ability being there

All you said would apply to Bronny if he was a shooter, but he's not. Let's assume this is about confidence, how do you become confident? Ok, you go to the gym earlier than everybody else, you shoot the ball for 5-8 hours and make sure the ball is going into the hoop, this is how we all gain confidence, is he doing that? I think he's more worried about playing call of duty.

Bronny was a bum in college, wasn't given time to develop his basketball awareness and fundamentals, drafted as a prop for his narcissist father. These are things that you learn in college, he's not talented like Lebron, can't come off highschool playing like him, you learn that from proper coaching, he's not even going to be good in the G-league. I just hope he goes back to college and gets an education, his basketball development has been stunted, his confidence has been crushed, and I doubt he can recover, I doubt he has the work ethic to learn the fundamentals on his own.

@@pattdor7 ... I think you are guilty of "self-deception" in a misguided attempt to appear fair & balanced in your assessment... but I could be wrong. We have seen plenty. We can "agree to disagree"... but I believe the die was cast on this kid's skillset LONG before the "health issues"... that everyone keeps using as an excuse... His "cardiac arrest" was about as real as any "injury" his dad has suffered in the last 5 years... which is no injuries at all. His dad uses it as an excuse to load manage and juice up... and his kid used it as an excuse to not put a bunch of bad performances on tape for negative exposure... Just my take... these aren't decent human beings that we are talking about kiddo ;-)
