I like those little motors. I've been cutting them in half with an ax. You can do it with them. If you get a good hammer. They'll split apart and you can pull the wires out easy. But you got a good method you got to do what works for you.👍👍🙂🇨🇦🧲🔨🪓

Good analysis of copper and Cast. You should have weighed HMS and rotors too.

Your cutting station needs to be higher.. for your back and your safety.. do you still have the sand blasting cube thing?? Would be awesome to save the copper that's lost from grinding the stators

Wow!! Nice topic you choose to make the video. I don't remember you processing any fan motors in the recent past (1-2 years) while you collected many (may be hundreds) of those motors. I am sure you got all those motors in a corner. I prefer you making a 100 motor stripping marathon video. You can analyze recovery of Copper, Cast, HMS and bits of cable. If you strip a single item in bulk, your productivity will be much higher.

Maybe try to mount a vise side ways on a stud so you can do it standing up, that grinder with the diamond disc cuts it the fastest I’ve seen, you have so many motors so it might make it easier
@nickimpala8886 Жыл бұрын
And since you have so many throw up plastic to catch the copper

Hi, Phil. I’ve had a quite a few people ask me about your hammer you modified for prying copper out of stators. I’m going to share this video with them but I was curious if you would make another video showing your hammer in detail and using it on bigger motors?
@CanadianTreasureHunter Жыл бұрын
It works great on furnace fan size motors, I will make one soon
@scrapitall200 Жыл бұрын
I’ve seen you use it a lot months ago and I’m definitely going to make one myself. Thanks for replying.
