Thank means a lot thank you so much! When working with triggers make sure you go into the properties panels of the trigger and set a tag for the “objects tagged” section and then make sure your drumsticks are tagged the same. If that makes sense lol

You can script a whole object to move the tricky part is have enough inputs with a grabbable object to have it go in all the directions you want. But totally possible!

Unfortunately that just something Horizon World doesn’t allow but that is a really cool idea. It’s being updated all the time so hopefully in the future. You can make a boom box with the music available in horizon but none of them have lyrics I don’t think

Hey great video! Ive been able to build a magic wand spitting fire on the first day! I have 2 problems that i cant seem to find the answer: 1. Can you make bullets interact/collide with other objects? Id like my fireballs to make my cubes go flying when they hit them, now they just pass through and my cubes are set to physics. 2. Can projectiles collide with one another? For example: i have a wand who throws fireball and another one who throws a giant sphere, i would like that when the fireball collides with the giant sphere it gets desyroyed, but again they just pass through. Thanks a lot for the help great video!
@JackaldudeVR3 жыл бұрын
Thank for the comment. Ok first in the properties panel of your launcher make sure collides with static objects is turned on and there should be a drop down menu right above that to make it collide with all interactive objects. I hope this helps for now but I’ll be going over some of this a little later in the series.
@nicholasbelanger-jussaume67463 жыл бұрын
@@JackaldudeVR hey thanks for the response! I just encountered another issue though and theres not a lot of help online! Is it normal that in the script saying "when colliding with object" we cannot change "obj"? I tried putting a variable to refer to one object in particular but it just couldnt change? Thanks a lot!
@JackaldudeVR3 жыл бұрын
So for that in particular object need to be properly tagged. So go into the properties panel of the object with the script and find the section when it interacts with an object with a certain “tag”. Then go to the properties panel with the object you want the scripted object to interact with and set its tag to the same thing as the other tag you made. Hopefully that all made sense lol

Would making the shooter local affect multiplayer?
@JackaldudeVR2 жыл бұрын
Not as long as you are not trying to manipulate persistent player variables in the script you are making local. I also should mention local scripts have been a bit buggy so at this time it might be better to leave scripts on default if you can

Is there a video for how to take a gun like this and make it automatic? I tried using the event delay function in a while statement but can't get that to work, Could be using the event delay function incorrectly though.
@JackaldudeVR2 жыл бұрын
I do plan on making videos for all the firing types. I’d stay away from the while statements and instead use a bool. Have the bool be true when index trigger is pressed and false when index trigger is released. Then only launch the delay function if the bool is true. Hope that helps a little.

Ok, so I got that lever we were talking about to work after hours of crafting, but now I’m stuck on trying to get the “look at” function for eyes to work. I can get it to look at the player when they enter but I can’t get it to follow the player. Ideas?
@JackaldudeVR2 жыл бұрын
So if you got it to look at the player all you have to do is put that command in a loop. Then it will look at the player every time the loop runs making it look like they are following the player

@JackaldudeVR2 жыл бұрын
Ok here are some things I would double check. When you add the gizmo to the group and you are in that dark mode. Make sure the gizmo is selected and has the wire framing when you enter that mode but definitely make sure you unselect it and it no longer has that wire framing when you leave the dark mode. If it still has that wire framing when you leave that dark group mode you are actually pulling that gizmo out of the group. If that’s not working you can try to regroup the whole thing by holding your index trigger down and slide it your hand through the gizmo and the model to make a new group. Hope this helps!

Having issues with my script. Once I combine everything the gun will shoot the projectile, I even have a sound animation that works. But if I attempt to change the color of the projectile after firing it the projectile turns invisible or stops working but the sfx still works when trigger is pulled. Any idea on what I’m doing wrong? My script was {when index trigger is pressed by (player) {launch projectile from (bullet variable) {Play sound on (sfx variable) Combined all objects and attached script variables. It worked went into test mode shot the gun projectile shot it was default white and had sound. Went back to creating mode changed color of the projectile from white to blue. Headed back into test mode no projectile but sfx was still there. I attempted to erase my variables from my script and detach entire script from the gun. Re did variables re attached script to gun. Still no projectile but still have the sound. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
