I know these videos may not be the most watched but I really like it. Learning how to do these small things help huge. Ears, eyes, hands, feet and such can complete the work and make it all better.

I LOVE this tutorial. I have been wanting to make fairies lately and ears are kinda part of the deal lol. This gives me such a clear place to start and on the more simple ones it would look perfect. I like how you included the part about pushing the ear up and adding more clay. It really gives us a chance to feel like we can make our own piece and it doesn't have to be exactly like yours. Honestly this is one of the most helpful videos for clay out there. I've watched hundreds and I have been sculpting for about 3 years now. Great job and I hope to see more great videos from you!

Hi yes!thank you very much for the tips! and about baking please, when you do the final bake, do you care about the previous pre-bake times or not? do you substract the previous 5 or 10 min to the final bake? hope you understand me... i'm french... Thank you :) and nice work!

Do you sculpt elf ears the same way but with extra clay at the top? Just curious since I do allot of elves, wizards, faeries, gnomes etc. This tutorial would be super helpful for baby dolls! Thanks 😊👍
@jenniferjacob10245 жыл бұрын
I believe fairy ears can be sculpted anyways you want as they are fantasy,so your imagination is all that's needed,but yes typically most make ears just like ours with a nice long point at the top at a angle towards the back of the head..or you can get creative and design something a bit different :)

Hey Ace of Clay is it a good idea to pre make a bunch of ears noses pre bake them and use them when ever you need them?
@davidonfim23815 жыл бұрын
I think that would only really be useful if you're consistently making the same kind of figurines (same size, same features, etc). If you're doing that though, I think it might be more useful for you if you make some master body parts and then make a mold out of them so that you just press the clay into the mold and bake.
@maximosgarris70244 жыл бұрын
I think it would be kinda hard to stick the pre baked clay on the sculpt

@AceofClay I'm new 2 ur channel & new 2 sculpting with polymer clay. Your videos are so helpful & you're very good @ sculpting. *My question is, can u please 🙏 help me learn & figure out what I'm doing wrong, trying get a closed eye for my newborn doll sculpt. If you can make a video of it, I know a lot of people have the same trouble with the eyes.Thanks in advance & for your videos!! I'm working on a ooak (preferably a newborn if not a 3 month old at the biggest) baby sculpt. If I can make it realistic enough I want to make a silicone and vinyl out of my work.

As you say, it's easy when you know how to do it... But to make a tutorial that make the viewer feel that it really is easy, that's hard! And I don't think you was that awkward, just low key and straight to the point.
