I have a text file of twitter data but idk how to filter out language to en only tweets in R

They're are a few stackoverflow posts detailing how to identify and remove non-English words. Maybe start with something like stackoverflow.com/questions/65274104/find-in-a-dfm-non-english-tokens-and-remove-them

That's an interesting application. Are you looking at mass sentiment or targeting experts? (I imagine there is a size of supporter base effect for the former). I haven't seen exactly what you describe but I'm sure there are similar things out there (although some of the older ones might be directly applicable given the changes in Twitter data access).
