Great video with clear steps! Would love a video on networking where you go deeper into this topic.

I will do that soon. This has been a tricky topic because it's highly subjective

the behavorial will be pretty easy for me im an introvert but not scared to spark up convos. Plus i did my first full-stack application which was easily the hardest project ive done lol. As for getting over a arguement with boss/coworkers same thing i just went thought something and solved it recently

Amazing video! When should I be applying, though? I'm a sophomore, and I have been getting into some full stack, but I'm still pretty mediocre. When should I know that I can apply for an internship and not be a laughing stock
@JustFAANGplusАй бұрын
I would say apply as soon as possible. You won't be a laughing stock, in my opinion. It'll be much harder to even get responses than to be a laughing stock, so applying as soon as possible is the way to go

On a more serious note though, self taught dev from Gh looking for remote internships, is that a feasible goal? Or do i have to emigrate?
@JustFAANGplusАй бұрын
It's a feasible goal, just a lot harder. Immigrating to the US might be the easiest option, but it's not impossible to do this from Ghana

How many LeetCode Q's have you done? And any advice to someone starting their CS degree?
@iviake32413 ай бұрын
Just starting? Apply to first-year programs, and find out what language your next few classes use so you can learn ahead. If you don’t get into a first year program do an REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates), they pay good and give relevant experience. Also, always look to make personal projects when you can, especially during the summer is my advice
@JustFAANGplus3 ай бұрын
I've done just around 150 leetcode problems total. I've been doing more because I kinda like leetcoding. However, I have done many problems multiple times. for starting your cs degree, totally agree with @iviake3241. Learn ahead of your classes. It's easier to get a leg up if you're familiar with the language and a few of the concepts before the classes start. Apply to first year programs because that's where you'd have the greatest chances. Do research during the semester if you're able to, and if you don't get an internship, do a summer research. Personal projects are great. Don't just copy KZbin videos, actually try to do them yourself, it'll help in many interviews where you're asked to explain the projects. Meet people on campus, make friends (many of them would get internships, so it helps with networking), also reach out to alums to ask for their advice and what path you should take. Also try out a few things to see where your interests would lie. I personally took some game development stuff, and I realized I don't really like that, so go ahead and try stuff

I have a few projects under my belt, but they are mostly basic and I don’t think they’ll help me get an internship. Can someone suggest a few projects that’s gonna help me stand out amongst others? Thanks :)

Are you working at meta? What stack do you use?
@JustFAANGplus5 ай бұрын
I am working at Meta. I can’t really answer that question because Meta is so big and we use quite a lot

By not sharing, your channel is very shady btw. But based on your profile, stack is mostly front-end related. React / js. But you're only at meta for 3 months. If that's true.
