Hi, I’ve just appeared in PLAB 2 exam, awaiting results. For the past 15 years I’ve been working as anesthetist. But I’ve no experience in icu. My cv is all about anesthesia work. If I pass PLAB 2 exam, can I get anesthesia job without icu experience?

Hi Alice, if an overseas anesthesist completes primary FRCA and attains GMC registration and eventually lands a job in NHS, can they eventually get CCT in anesthesia n become consultant eventually or are they only eligible for the cesr route.

Hello Christa! Thank you for your comment :) You will be able to build a CESR CP portfolio, which is just like CCT but allows you to use your overseas training towards your application. Do send us an email with your CV to [e-mail] if you would like some more guidance.
